In 2019 there is an underlying theme: a Saturn/Neptune sextile which opens a rare window of opportunity, allowing our dreams and ideals to become a closer reality.

The Lunar Eclipse on January 20th(21st) is also a Super Moon, meaning that it will appear to be larger than your average Full Moon. It is a total eclipse, meaning if you are located in the Americas, and weather permits, you will be able to see this fabulous Moon turn a deep soulful red. As we sit here in the void between the eclipses, it could feel as if all the energy is being drained from our souls. But perhaps the most intriguing transit of the week, is the Jupiter/Neptune square. One of the prevailing transits of 2019.

A New Dawn is Rising. A brand new diverse Congress (with over 100 women!) were sworn in today. And the Democrats took power once again in the House. The Roman God Janus escorts us into the New Year this week, at a Balsamic Moon. Prime time for cleansing, purification and releasing in preparation for the New Year to come.

This year’s Solstice is accompanied by a rare Full Moon, lending an extra dose of enchantment to this sacred time of year.

As we approach the Solstice (and the Full Moon) next week, the Sun makes some important transits to both Chiron and Uranus, which are both transitioning for good from one sign to the next, in 2019. And then there’s that Mercury/Jupiter conjunction.

We open the week with a New Moon in Sagittarius. This immediately follows the most welcome station of Mercury, and precedes the station of Chiron (which we noted last week were trine).

We are entering the last quarter phase of the Moon, Mercury is in its last week of the Retrograde phase, and Mars approaches its conjunction with Neptune. But probably the most remarkable transit for the upcoming week is the extended trine between stationing Mercury and stationing Chiron.

A Full Moon in Gemini square Mars, while Mercury is retrograde and Neptune is stationing is like driving while drunk and texting. The only remedy for this sort of weather is a great deal of mindfulness. To read more about the current weather check out this week’s update.
