Aries
Don’t avoid the very people and things that have the potential to bring you the most joy. The inclination could be this week to hole yourself up, dive into your work, or look for some excuse to brood in your den. Do what you have to do, but then put down the power tools, leave your work mind at the office, and look about you. Crawl out of the den or the tool shed in the back, and pay attention to those that are close at hand. These are the ones that show up, bake you brownies when you need them, and make you smile when you mess up. They do more than tolerate your bad humors. They rant with you, and sit by your side till you are finished, and then hand you a brownie. Just know that it is because of these other people that you can deal with the existential dread that Saturn and Neptune in Aries have been handing you. You are accustomed to handling things on your own. But these are the people who make the unbearable, more tolerable. The brownies aren’t too shabby either.
Taurus
Jupiter has been mapping out a certain vision for the future. Your ruling planet Venus, now also in Cancer, is bringing you the confirmation that you were looking for. She not only confirms it but embellishes it. She embellishes it through love, through community, and through shared experiences with others. There may be a few things that still need to be tied up over the year ahead. But in the mean time you are getting an inkling of what the future can and will hold. Let others know what your heart and mind is telling you. Don’t censor yourself. You may fear that what you are trying to say will come out all wrong. But when you are willing to open yourself up to others, it creates closeness, trust and community in a way that only fosters ever greater closeness. Know that this coming year is not about leaving something behind, it’s about moving towards something that holds greater promise and possibility.
Gemini
Self-criticism and regrets will only find you over-thinking everything that you do or do not say. Or even worse, being afraid to say anything at all for fear of being judged or criticized by others. Rather than flagellating yourself or nailing yourself to a cross, take that critical mind and apply it to something constructive. Take care of that paperwork that you’ve been avoiding. Clean out the cupboards, mop the floors. Do it with precision. Then drag the cross out into the backyard where it can serve as seating for the well overdue barbecue you had been planning, which is far more preferable to self-abuse. Invite the family and close friends over. But tell them to leave the naysayers home. This week we need to count our blessings, not our mistakes. It’s the blessings that make the company and the food that much better.
Cancer
In some way we are all being asked to cast caution to the wind. People may judge and criticize, and claim that you should know better. That there are more important things that you are supposed to be doing. But the truth is, when Venus and Jupiter make a conjunction in your sign, as it will this week, it’s time to gather the tribe and celebrate. Family gatherings, festivities and celebrations can be hard work on their own. This is not about slacking. It’s about making the most of the things that truly matter. It’s about making heartfelt connections with others. It’s about declaring your love, and sowing gratitude and appreciation for all that you behold. It’s about baking, dancing, laughing and throwing that caution hither and yon. Dive into the Venus/Jupiter conjunction. You can then use the critical but intentional Mercury/Saturn square to clean up the mess afterwards. A win/win.
Leo
Sometimes it seems that the people who should have the most in common, just can’t seem to get along. You know how it is. You belong to the same group, share many of the same ideals and goals. On paper it all looks good. But for whatever reason they just rub you the wrong way. And they seem equally annoyed with you. And then they say or do something for the umpteenth time and it dawns on you. They’re a$%7#s. No more making excuses for bad behavior. Just because everyone else tolerates them, doesn't mean that you should as well. You have to draw the line somewhere. And once you see something, you can’t unsee it again. Rather than focusing on what you could have or should have said or done, pay attention to what your heart is telling you. One thing that you are not going to want to do is compromise what you know to be right and true. Listen to your heart. Sometimes it knows more.
Virgo
If you are feeling unheard, misunderstood, criticized, judged or just plain exhausted this coming week, realize that it may not be you who is at fault here. This is why they invented the word No. No more. No thank you. You are not welcome here. Virgos are the kings and queens of critical thinking, and you don’t need anyone else sticking their oar in where it does not belong, or making things harder for you. Turn the energy around. Set appropriate boundaries. Cut back. Know your limits and honor them. If there’s anyone to apply critical thinking this week it’s you knowing where you need to cut back, and who, what or where you are wanting to invest your precious time and energy. Weed out all those things that are merely draining or diminishing you. Then gravitate towards, celebrate and nurture those people and things and experiences that feed your heart and soul.
Libra
Like standing at a pinnacle, you are being given a vantage point. A vantage point from which you can see all the events that have brought you to where you are today. Get out the good dishes, light the candles, invite everyone over. You have reason to celebrate. And you won’t want to do this alone. Ignore the naysayers. And there will be those who won’t show up. We’re not counting them this week. This is a week to count your blessings, and then celebrate them with a party. Venus/Jupiter is a feel-good transit that lasts all week. Generous and expansive, it’s even better when you share it with others. That’s because we see you. We love what we are seeing, and will forgive a myriad of sins just to be able to celebrate with you. Your accomplishments, your wins, even your losses, all of it. We’re showing up to fill up your dance card, and celebrate you as well.
Scorpio
The questions that Scorpio could be asking themselves this week: What patterns do I seem to keep repeating over and over again? What things do I keep on doing the same, thinking that I would get a different result next time? Logically it seems to make sense. If you persist, at some point something will give? It’s when things break down and are no longer working that it becomes evident that we need a new approach. This is when you say, “No more!” You’ve got this. If anyone can reinvent themselves all over again, it’s Scorpio. There are those who have your best interests at heart. Seek them out. These are your well-meaning guides. Ask their advice, and take it to heart. Then go out and and change up those out-worn patterns. For one thing that is trying to become apparent to all of us these days, is that we don’t have to keep doing things the same way we have in the past. There might actually be better ways of approaching these situations in our lives.
Sagittarius
Jupiter in Cancer has been making all sort of promises this past year. Expansive. Lucky. You were feeling good about your prospects. Even when you didn’t know why you should. Venus joining Jupiter this week, could be trying to show you how those promises have been, or are being fulfilled. If nothing else, this fortunate transit has the capacity to make you feel appreciated for all that you have done. You are seeing the results of a job well done. And it’s being reciprocated. This is the sort of transit in which you deserve to pat yourself on the back, and take credit for all that you have accomplished. When you take on a project, you don’t fool around. You make spread sheets, map out plans, take measurements and shut out the distractions, including all that noise in the other room. This can be great for getting stuff done that you’ve been avoiding. But at some point you may wonder what you are missing out on while you are so engrossed and locked in. You might want to take a moment to come up for air and look about you. You will be surprised at all the fun you’ve been missing! While you’ve been obsessing over numbers, and organizing things, everyone else is out there having a good time. And they’re wondering where you are! Put the ledger sheets aside, crawl out of your den, and join the party. Everyone, even Capricorn, needs a break now and then. All that noise and commotion? Well if you can’t shut it down, just join them.The project will still be there when you get back.
Aquarius
It may feel like you’ve been missing the point about someone or something. On the surface you’ve been making all the correct gestures. Intellectually you’ve been vibing. Or at least you thought you were. But something is just not clicking the way you want it to. The health care worker with a big heart. That co-worker who knows exactly what you’re talking about. The support and answers are there, it’s just a matter of seeking it out, now that you realize what is truly going on.
Pisces
