For the week of September 25th thru October 2nd, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries
(1st house) If you find yourself circling the wagons, it could be for a good reason. This is the sort of weather in which the marauders stand at the gates ready for a fight. However, they have no idea who they are dealing with. You’ve been patiently licking your wounds these past few months, and taking care of the hearth, so people may have been misjudging you. Just wait until Mars enters Leo Sunday night. That is when you renew your martial license. May all comers beware. You are not going to suffer fools. People are going to have to earn your trust and respect. It does not come lightly. And slights or misjudgments are less likely to be tolerated. Be careful though. Since you are going to be on your last nerve, there’s no telling what can and will be generated out of the cauldron brewing on the back burner of your life. Avoid sharp instruments. And keep an eye on those marauders. Be able to distinguish between those that are here to help, and those that are up to no good. And channel some of that powerful energy that your ruling planet is exuding towards some sort of industrious cause or project. There will be no stopping you any time soon once you take off the apron and step into the light.
Taurus
(12th House) Venus continues to slow, almost to a dead stop. She will soon be escorting you into the complicated labyrinths of the underworld of your life. In the mean time, find inspiration in the glorious Full Harvest Moon this weekend in order to connect with that which is most heartfelt and meaningful. That which touches you in your heart of hearts. Light candles. Burn incense. Fill bowls with water in honor of the diluvian god, Neptune. Not only is Venus asking you to slow down, but the Full Moon asks you to do the same and take some meaningful moments for yourself this weekend. It may seem like selfishness, to take time for yourself. But this is almost imperative. For when you take time to connect with your heart of hearts, it can serve as something of a lodestar and beacon light going forward. Having that guiding light can help you to navigate even the most treacherous of storms,. May it continue to light your way around the rocky shoals of your life, so that you can find safe havens and shelter along the way. And that will be true even when things seem somewhat perilous. Follow the light, and it will not fail.
Gemini
(11h House) It’s easy to lose patience with people this week when they are being avoidant or ambiguous. This is especially so when you are just wanting to get to the bottom of things. The truth matters. But it is also true that words can wound and open up sore spots. This is very complex weather this week. Especially when it comes to conversations which are just wrought with all sorts of tension. It can be possible to gain some really remarkable depth and insights. But that can only happen when we admit that we don’t necessarily have all the answers. Listening is imperative. Listening with the unique ability to see things from another perspective is where the truth will be found. Mercury is in Libra, a sign of justice and fairness. It can also be a sign of open debate and persuasion. But once Mercury enters Scorpio on the 30th, it could also feel like we are being pushed into a corner. That’s when things get deep. No one can escape the truth this week no matter how much we may resist it. The truth is not to be found through interrogation or force. It will be found through humility and introspection, and a willingness to see things from another perspective. Words can wound in this weather but they can also heal. It’s all in the presentation.
Cancer
(10th House) You may be getting quite tired of having to defend or explain yourself and your plans. You have your reasons for doing what you do, and the choices that you are making. And it shouldn’t have to be necessary to give everyone your itinerary. All the more so when you aren’t even that sure why you are making the decisions you are making. And if you are going to have to defend, explain or clarify, this might not be the best week to do so. This is because everyone is feeling a little wounded, a little defensive and vulnerable. Give others the grace they deserve, but then let it go. Mars is finally moving out of your sign and heading into Leo, and thankfully so. You can get a lot done when Mars is in your sign, but it can also feel like you are needing to be on guard, protect and defend. And as it finally leaves Cancer, you will be picking up the fragments and scattered wounds and wounded that are needing to be placated. The impulse is to want to say something. To have your say. Motive is everything here. Speaking out of anger or frustration only opens a whole new can of worms. Instead use this week’s weather for self-healing, self-care and deep introspection. Do listen. Do pay attention. But also know when you just need to say No More.
Leo
(9th House) On Sunday night, Mars enters your sign inspiring you to get going, take some sort of action, and walk the walk as well as talk the talk. The Full Moon inspires, but Mars entering Leo brings you the courage to pursue even the most daunting of challenges. Even in the face of what might feel like extraordinary odds. Mars can get us moving, and raring to take the initiative. But it can also be a little tricky with the current weather. A Mars/Pluto opposition can bring out feelings of desperation as you find yourself struggling agains forces much larger than yourself. Assertion is good. Being overly forceful is not. It could be in your best interest to even step back if things get too heated. It might be that all you are trying to do is to get to the bottom of a situation. But if the drawbridge comes up, and the alligators emerge from the moat, be sure to give them some space. The more you push any issues, the more blow back you will receive over the coming few weeks. Avoid: pushing yourself or others beyond your own or other’s limitations. What this week is good for: strong determined action. Anything that requires strength and willpower. Rebuilding your own strength, as in a rehabilitative program, or at the gym. Channeled wisely you can get a great deal accomplished, provided you avoid over-doing things.
Virgo
(8th House) It is possible that you could receive some painful or disturbing news this week. And this could be true even before your ruling planet, Mercury, descends into the murky depths of Scorpio next Wednesday. What you learn within the bounds of the Full Moon this weekend could prove to be illuminating. There are layers here that are needing to be navigated. One thing that can become apparent this week are how words matter. That can be about what we say to others, what others say to us. The ways we use our voices. But also the things that we say to ourselves. Rather than listening to the old tired narratives, how might you turn it around? Words can be painful and hurtful and undermine our self-worth. They can also be healing and helpful. Avoid: unwise or impulsive speech; hurtful speech or rushing in to make judgments. Avoid trying to force others to your point of view. It won’t work. And reject the negative voices in your head. What this week is good for: the willingness to dive in, and even speak about painful subjects; giving a voice to others who are silenced or have been ostracized; having the courage to make difficult decisions; and to have hope even in the face of extraordinary odds, and even when it feels like there is no reason to believe, Believe.
Libra
(7th House) The Full Moon pulls you in to fill the void that once full, and now vacant, has been patiently waiting. It is just a matter of the right alignment. The right moment, when those who were destined to walk the same path, the same destiny, were meant to find each other. Like a foolish fantasy still waiting to unfold. Taunting you for months, you still cling to belief and hope that there is a promise that is yet to come. Even though there is no reason to believe, something in your heart of hearts remains faithful to the dream. “Hope is the thing with feathers on,” Emily Dickenson told us. She also reminds us that it “sings the tune without the words.. and never leaves". Therefore do not fall into doubt, or allow weariness to mar your dreams. Old wounds can surface as Venus slows. These can distract. Make you doubt. But the promise of the hope and the dream still lingers and is brought to the foreground with the Full Moon. The energy is shifting this week. The sorts of shifts that can either twist the blade even deeper, or quite the opposite, heal the bleeding heart. This may mean looking in places you previously ignored, or could not see through, due to the fog. When we cannot see our way forward, sometimes we need to feel it forward. That is when the answers will be revealed.
Scorpio
(6th House) There are those things that support your well-being. And then there are those things we do to ourselves that undermine us. Perhaps not intentionally. But how often do you find yourself doing the same things over and over again, expecting the results to be different from before? Allow yourself to pause with the Full Moon. Stop and just be. Then allow yourself to examine old habits, that rather than supporting you, are undermining your strength and purpose. This can also be true with old narratives that undermine your faith and belief in yourself. You have an amazing capacity to work long and hard. With a focus so relentless that none can match you. This can be an amazing gift. It can also exhaust you physically, mentally and emotionally. You will know this when you find yourself on your last nerve. However, when you pause, you can then redirect all that powerful force within you in ways that are healing rather than debilitating, strengthening rather than weakening. Channeled wisely you can get more accomplished with less. Listen to the Full Moon. Let her guide you. When you allow spirit to guide you, and you focus on those things that you do have control over, while releasing those that you don’t, the truth will be revealed.
Sagittarius
(5th House) Earlier this year a vision was already brewing. And now that things seem to be manifesting in sometimes strange and perhaps unexpected ways, there’s no telling where this will take you. Put all reticence aside. Things are still a little foggy. Perhaps even more so in the light of the Harvest Full Moon. There are just so many unknowables, so many ways this can go, it’s hard not to have some amount of angst. The best way to work with this deeply mystic Moon is to sit with it. Rather than filling your days with busyness and commotion, just be. Neptune speaks to us in whispers, signs, and feelings. There is no shouting from the rooftops, or announcements in the New York Times. This is the stuff that comes in the dead of night, or incidentally as we stroll through our days, rather than run. There is a lot of contention in the air over the next few weeks. In order to keep you on track, and avoid getting distracted, look within, and trust your own inner wisdom, follow your conscience, and the highest good in all things, Trust your highest self, and your better angels, and you cannot go wrong.
Capricorn
(4th House) The Full Moon is shining a light on the foundations of your life this weekend. Old memories can come to the surface. Some disturbing, some revealing. But all are there for a reason. Like signposts along the way, these Full Moons have the capacity to point us in a certain direction that hopefully can lead to a higher state of understanding, and dare we say, illumination. But in order to do this well, we are all being asked to do some inner reflection. This requires both humility and courage. Especially with the weather we’re having this week! The inclination may be to want to bring clarity to the situation. And there is a time and place for having your say, but it must be done carefully in this weather in which, even with the best of intentions words can wound. Therefore difficult discussions must be done with special care and consideration. What this weather is good for: letting go of old narratives that are no longer valid for who you are now (or ever were for that matter!), getting advice about healing old wounds, whether physical or psychic, and placing the focus on rehabilitation, strengthening, and maybe a bit of a renovation.
Aquarius
(3rd House) Sit with the Full Moon this weekend. It can bring insight and understanding if you make space for quiet introspection. Observe. Sit. Perhaps meditate or merely reflect. See what feelings arise, as you allow spirit, conscience, and/or your highest self to speak through you. Any connection you can make in this regard can be useful in navigating some of the rough weather we will be having as we move into the week ahead. Neptune is beckoning us to make peace with ourselves and with the world. And sometimes in order to do that well, we have to just stop and sit in stillness. This is especially true if you have been feeling especially over-committed or over-stimulated. Pushing yourself beyond your current limitations this week will only lead to physical and mental exhaustion. What this weather is good for: anything that requires strength and willpower, provided you keep your limitations in check. That can include rebuilding your strength; or feeling inspired to take on a program of healing and/or self-improvement.
Pisces
(2nd House) Celebrate the Full Moon this weekend with positive affirmations, walks by the water, and the willingness to initiate new and better habits that can promote inner well-being while discarding those that are no longer serving you. The Full Moon is the perfect time to connect with self. That inner part of you that just knows. Then allow your better angels to lead the way through the week. When we hold to our higher principles and follow our conscience, we are already better equipped than most to navigate some of the difficulties that can arise when the planets, people and the the world at large seem to be at loggerheads. As mentioned last week, so long as we keep one foot firmly on the ground, and we remain totally invested in the Good and the True, there is little harm to be had. Trust your inner wisdom, and allow that to be your guide. And that can be true even in the face of extraordinary challenges and uncertainty.
