For your New Year’s horoscopes for 2026, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries
In 2026 Saturn and Neptune will make an exact conjunction in the first degree of your sign. For everyone this means a new beginning but for Aries this can literally mean becoming a newer and better version of yourself. These past few months could have found you in something of a holding pattern wrapped in a veil of uncertainty, maybe some doubt, and a bit of exhaustion. After falling down this well without a ladder, you may wonder how you are going to manage to come out again. Trust that you will. But in order to do this well, it seems you were being asked to leave some old fragments of your life behind. In Capricorn season you may want greater certainty, and answers to your questions so that you can come up with some sort of plan. However in order to do this well you are being asked to think in terms of those things that would help to make your life that much more meaningful. Perhaps a life in which you are able to put into application some of your most heartfelt ideals and aspirations. 2026 is going to be a year of new beginnings. But not without letting go of some outgrown dreams that are no longer relevant for who you are now. Lean towards dreams that will help to define you in some remarkable way that is uniquely you. It’s time to become the architect of your own best life.
Taurus
Acceptance and finding greater wholeness is not only a theme for the New Year, but will become even more of a priority for Taurus in 2026, perhaps even more so when the centaur Chiron enters your sign in June. This is when we will all be challenged with issues surrounding self-worth and perhaps finances in general. Not that we aren’t already. But specifically for Taurus you will be asked to release any old soul contracts and habits that are proving to be self-limiting and devaluing to your own self-worth and self-esteem. Chiron coming to your sign will be a reminder that you are worth investing in, and that there is nothing selfish about giving yourself enough space for self-care. If you give yourself permission to experience life on your terms, and fulfill your needs to their fullest, then you will have enough to give to others. This theme of radical self-love, and self-care carries through to the end of 2026 with the Venus retrograde in October which will serve as something of a turning point in your relationships with others. Think of 2026 as a year in which you take the first steps towards making yourself and your needs more of a priority.
Gemini
The early degree Geminis had a taste of this last year, but perhaps the most important transition for Gemini in 2026 will be when Uranus enters your sign on April 25th, where it will remain for the next 7 years. This will be a period in your life in which you are being asked to be a truer, more authentic version of yourself. This does not necessarily mean going totally rogue (which may be okay too!), but you will find yourself needing the freedom to be able to be who you are without pretense or apology. Not everyone will appreciate the changes that you are going through, but that could be because they never really knew who you were all along. Allow yourself to follow your fascination. Allow yourself to embark on a journey of self-exploration that might even surprise you (never mind anyone else)! Uranus has a natural affinity for the mercurial sign of Gemini, and we expect to see some interesting innovations in all things Gemini: technology, invention, communications, education, learning. And that also includes you. Allow yourself to go off road, if only a wee bit in 2026. Be a little rogue. Be you. We’re all waiting here with bated breath.
Cancer
Continue to take advantage of the first half of 2026, which is when Jupiter continues to encourage you to expand your vision of yourself, as well as your horizons. In some way, the planet Jupiter has been asking you to grow these past 6 months, perhaps even beyond your previous expectations of yourself. And will continue to do so through the end of June when it enters the sign of Leo. Taking that leap of faith with Jupiter, can bring you places, give you the courage to take a few risks, and maybe even embark on a few adventures. This all happens concurrently with the Saturn/Neptune conjunction in February at the very top of your chart. This can mark a new beginning in career, or veering off in a new direction that can bring ever greater meaning to you and your life. These past few months might have seen you in something of a holding pattern of uncertainty and doubt. But once these two giants meet in February you are being asked to make some sort of commitment in a certain direction. All of which will reach some sort of fruition next Summer when Jupiter enters Leo. Hang on to your hats and get your passport in order, there’s no telling where you will land in 2026, once all is said and done.
Leo
2026 will prove to be an extraordinary year filled with transitions, challenges, and new adventures. And although the earlier part of the year may be littered with all sorts of power struggles and even some unnerving confrontations, the latter half of the year could bring a surprising turn of events. You don’t even have to wait for Jupiter to enter your sign at the end of June to see that there are possibilities opening up before you. But with all the planets changing signs this year, you may be surprised with where you do end up by the end of the year, for it could be quite different from what you had previously expected. When Jupiter enters your sign, as it will on June 30th, it asks you to grow even beyond your previous expectations. Jupiter brings lucky breaks, and makes you aware of opportunities to expand your horizons in new and maybe even innovative ways. Not only is Jupiter trying to get you in alignment with your true path, but with the eclipses transitioning into Leo and Aquarius this year, there could be some major changes awaiting some of you. In the mean time, we’ve got you covered with Jupiter on your side.
Virgo
Every New Year we ring out the old as we ring in the new. But this year may be a bit more poignant than usual for some Virgos, especially with the eclipses weaving their tapestries over the year that was, and continuing to do so for a few more of the eclipses next year. 2026 is something of a transition year for everyone. But as the eclipses transition from Virgo/Pisces to Leo/Aquarius, many a Virgo will be scrabbling to redefine themselves in the scheme of things. Some may even see themselves veering off in a whole new direction, perhaps testing out some new areas of expression. Be open to the new. Be open to possibility. But also make some time for self-care and self-healing. Use the latter part of 2026 for some much needed self-care as needed. Go on that retreat you’ve been wanting to attend, take time out for introspection, spiritual practices, or just because. Taking time out from the madness of the world can help you find your place in the scheme of things. And taking care of your mental health and general well-being will help to reorient you to time and space. We all need a reboot now and then. Let 2026 be your reboot for a happier and healthier you.
Libra
This could prove to be an interesting year for Libra, in which you will be reevaluating all of your relationships with others. This is not just the individuals with whom you share a partnership, or with whom you are walking your path, but also exploring the ways that you do relationships, and why you do them that way. We begin 2026 with a very close Saturn/Neptune conjunction in the first degree of Aries, which tells us of new beginnings, and new ways of approaching others, and being seen in the world. It can color your image, and the reasons why people are drawn to you this year and in the years to follow. Or not. The last few months of 2025 may have found you in something of a holding pattern, wrapped up in a veil of uncertainty, maybe some doubts, and probably a bit of exhaustion. And there could have already been some relationships fading from the scene, with others beginning on a whole new footing. The Venus retrograde towards the latter part of 2026 could be something of a turning point in your relationships in general as you more fully connect with what your own expectations are. In the mean time know that in 2026, Libra is being situated in such a way to more fully explore their creative potential, and how these also impact the way that you are being seen in the world.
Scorpio
In a world that is in transition it can be difficult to find your own footing. We may all be wondering how we are going to be fitting into the scheme of things now that all of the outermost planets are changing signs. We may not even recognize the world that we once knew so well when all is said and done. But even as the world is going through its own transition, so are we also going through our own changes. Some profound. Others more mundane. But in many ways we are being asked to grow beyond our previous expectations of ourselves. Just even with Pluto entering Aquarius there is this personal awareness that the very foundations of our lives are being tested. And even in places that we have strong roots, even in places that we were raised, there is this feeling of not quite fitting in any more. And perhaps thankfully so. One thing that we can be sure of is the element of change. For some, change implies that things are only going to get worse. But change also makes it possible for things to improve. And for those who are confident, there is the challenge to use this time of transition to make things better.
Sagittarius
Sagittarius is sitting at something of a sweet spot in 2026. There could still be a wee bit of chaos now that Uranus is re-entering Gemini in April. But this very chaos could also open doors to new adventures and more exciting possibilities as you not only explore your own potential, but how that potential can be further improved through your relationships with others. With your ruling planet in the sign of Cancer these past 6 months, you were being asked to grow emotionally and psychologically, and will continue to do so in the first half of 2026. By doing so you were bringing yourself more in alignment with the tremendous transitions that are occurring with all of the outer planets changing signs in 2026. In a way it has been something of a preparation stage for the next leg of your journey, when Jupiter will then enter Leo at the end of June. This is when it becomes apparent that there is a whole world out there that is just waiting to be explored. New possibilities. New opportunities. It’s like opening a door and seeing the world, and all of its possibilities unfolding before you like a beautiful tableau. And all you need to do is step out the door. The world awaits.
Capricorn
Ringing out the old and ringing in the new can we both literal and symbolic all at the same time this year. These past few months could have found you in something of a holding pattern wrapped in a veil of uncertainty, perhaps a little doubt, and a bit of exhaustion. Goals are shifting, as what previously seemed so important is gradually fading, even as new ones are now gong to be seeded in the New Year. Your ruling planet Saturn in the final degrees of Pisces, almost feels like it is ending an era. And as it enters Aries in February, it falls into an awkward embrace with Neptune seeding aspirational visions of a future filled with idealistic notions. However, when Saturn enters Aries, it has no use for pipe dreams and fantasies. Saturn in Aries means business as he takes hold and marshals the forces in order to take control and become the architect of the next phase of our lives. As your ruling planet, you may also find yourself channeling that marshal energy and directing it in a certain direction in order to achieve your goals. Endings make way for beginnings in 2026, and Capricorn will be taking things into their own hands, leading the way.
Aquarius
We may wonder at this New Year transition, how many Aquarians are beginning to become aware of their own nascent power, now that Pluto has entered their sign. Pluto’s evolutionary journey always begins within, churning and turning, changing your perspective along with your expectations. At some point it becomes apparent that your outer world will need to be transformed in order to catch up with the internal changes that have already been stirring. Be open to the changes that are beckoning. There is no resisting Pluto once he has begun to take hold. People may even begin to notice some of these internal changes this year. That sense of power. The willingness to take the reins of your own life and destiny. This may create difficulties for others, but only because they cannot see what is going on within you. In some way Aquarius is being asked to grow from the inside out. And this is true even if you are unaware of what you are doing, and seem to be more willing to open your soul to the universe. Sound a little crazy? Just wait. 2026 aims to carry you over the threshold and into the age of Aquarius. Live it well.
Pisces
As we end 2025 Saturn and Neptune are at the very end of your sign. However, soon after we enter 2026, your modern ruling planet Neptune will enter the sign of Aries beginning a whole new era founded on visionary ideals, and aspirations for a brave new world. Soon after, Saturn will also leave Pisces and enter Aries falling into an awkward embrace with Neptune. This could feel a bit like the world just got a bit lighter for Pisces, but it also implies some sort of new beginning in which your destiny begins to gradually move in a whole new and inspiring direction. And so as Saturn connects with Neptune in February, in some way you are being asked to think in terms of committing to those dreams that are worth investing in, while releasing those that don’t hold any water. Also pay attention to when your traditional ruling planet Jupiter enters Leo at the end of June next year, bringing so many of the new and emerging elements into some sort of perspective. There could be all sorts of new options and opportunities emerging as well. And so as we ring out the old year singing Auld lang Syne, and ring in the new, raise a glass to the glorious possibilities that this transitional new year can bring us.
