Mercury does indeed finally station direct this weekend, a day after Chiron stations retrograde… while conjunct Mars in scrappy Aries. And these three are going to be like this all month: squaring up against one another.

A second Full Moon Lunar Eclipse falls on the night between July 4th and 5th (our Independence Day celebration her in the United States!). Whew! Let’s not forget that feisty Mercury/Mars square this week heating things up. This week’s essay focuses on this Eclipse, the last of a series of eclipses in Cancer and Capricorn since 2018.

Jupiter and Pluto make their 2nd conjunction; Mercury is very retrograde and we’re still in the midst of this unpredictable Eclipse Season. What else could we possibly throw into the mix? How about Mars returning to its own sign, fiery, tempestuous and no holds barred Aries, where it will come to wage battle and heat things up for the rest of the year.

It is rare to have a Solar Eclipse on the Solstice. And although this is an Annular Eclipse there is something strong and filled with intention about this eclipse which falls on the longest day of the year, here in the Northern Hemisphere.

We are in that space between the eclipses, where time is warped and things continue to feel so unpredictable. Mercury then slows for its retrograde station next week, giving us permission to say NO and to retreat.

This week we are heating up for the first of three eclipses. Like a slow simmering boil, our boundaries are being breached, and the tensions will rise.

The New Moon in Gemini makes its entrance on Friday, May 22nd, amidst a chorus of confusion, deception and ambiguity. Nonetheless, happy-go-lucky Gemini will still be Gemini, even in these uncertain times.

Last week 3 planets stationed retrograde one right after the other. The last of these was Jupiter, which stationed for its retrograde phase on Thursday. We’re all being asked to step back, slow down, and pause.

3 planets station this coming week within a few days of each other: Saturn, Venus and then Jupiter. If that’s not all, Mercury and Mars both change signs and will be square one another all week making for some contentious conversations. And then there’s Neptune. In times of uncertainty we grasp at straws in order to find answers to the questions that elude us. Just be careful that the answers you stumble upon do not lead you down the garden path.
