Happy Beltane! This is the solar holiday once celebrated for the advent of Summer in the Northern climes, when the flowers are blooming and the young leaves are on the trees. We have another beautiful Full Moon coming up next week. Equally beautiful will be Venus shining in all her glory as an evening star, rising just after sunset. When you combine a Pluto station with a couple of Uranus conjunctions, what do you get?

The New Moon in Taurus is usually a time to seek peace, security and stability. But in this time of change and instability, this is sorely lacking. This week we are getting an early glimpse of the Saturn/Uranus squares of 2021-22.

At this time of year the focus is on rebirth and renewal. But not without considering the extraordinary circumstances we are all sharing together. More on the Jupiter/Pluto conjunction this week, as the Sun will make a square at the last quarter Moon in Capricorn.

There is so much happening right now, it is difficult to condense it all into one sound bite: a glorious Super Full Moon Tuesday night; the first of 3 conjunctions between Jupiter and Pluto; and then there’s Mars square Uranus this week. Strap on those seat belts everyone, we’re in for a ride!

Saturn entered Aquarius last week, and Mars enters Aquarius on Monday, soon to be conjunct Saturn. This explains why we are all feeling like we are living inside an Edward Hopper painting. We will feel the restricting and containing energy of this conjunction all week, along with a Mercury/Neptune conjunction.

Saturn enters Aquarius on the 21st of March, beginning the transition towards a new order. In the mean time we have some challenges facing us, as Mars, the ruling planet of the New Moon in Aries on the 24th, takes on some powerful forces over the week ahead.

The Vernal Equinox soon arrives. But the prevailing story is about the encroaching pandemic. The Full Moon last week saw a free fall in the stock market and was when the whole country of Italy was placed on lock down. Norway soon followed. Mars will cross first Jupiter, and then Pluto over the coming weeks.. We have to ask ourselves, what’s next?

Mercury slows for its direct station on the same day as the Full Moon in Virgo. A term coined by astrologer Richard Nolle, this is a Super Moon, meaning that it is incrementally closer to the earth in its orbit at the time of the Full Moon. With an opposition to Neptune, this Moon should be enchanting, but with a few undertones as well.

Mercury retrogrades back to Aquarius and Venus enters Taurus. Like ships in the night they will sextile one another that same day. Thankfully so after Venus squares both Pluto and Saturn… we will want a reprieve. This week’s post is about Mercury’s retrograde journey back into Aquarius.
