Horoscopes: September 4th thru the 11th

September 3, 2026 Lauren Coleman

For this week’s horoscopes for the New Moon in Virgo for your sign (or house placement for 18º Virgo if you know it):

Aries

(6th House) It may seem very banal and mundane, but one of the best things about the New Moon in Virgo is that it gives Aries the incentive to restore order and efficiency to their everyday lives. It may seem like a small ask, but our daily rituals habits and routines allow your life to function like a well-oiled machine without having to think about it too much. That includes your everyday chores that maintain order and help to support you and your well-being. Things like brushing your teeth, stocking the larder, doing the dishes, and doing the laundry. Without these everyday tasks that we take for granted and leave on the back burner of our lives, our lives would devolve into chaos. But there’s a new reason to pay attention to these mundane rituals, and that has to do with something that you’ve been wanting to get to for weeks, maybe months. The New Moon brings the incentive, the motivation and the opportunity to finally tackle all those tasks. Whether that means merely rearranging the furniture. Or perhaps starting a new health regimen that you’ve been procrastinating about. Is there something new that you’ve been wanting to try? Something that could even possibly free you up? A good affirmation for the New Moon might be: I am open to the changes that will allow me to create a work and living space that is more efficient, frees up my schedule and makes my life easier.

Taurus

(5th House) Your ruling planet Venus is already moving at a slow crawl in anticipation of its retrograde station in October. She is moving through treacherous real estate in the process. The places where wounds are being revisited, exposed and even painfully so at times. However, what you come to realize is that when you meet others who share similar wounds, people who just get you, and know where you come from, newer and better alliances can be formed. It doesn’t end here. There is more to this story unfolding over the months ahead. It’s about finding your place in the world. And the New Moon in Virgo on the 10th/11th can motivate you to find some sort of resolution for that which pains you. Often what is merely being required of you, is to form healthier, more meaningful relationships which instead of diminishing or rejecting you, make you feel more whole. Who are those who make you feel more confident in your own skin? And the more comfortable you are with who you are, the more others will rally round and celebrate who you are and what you have to offer. Use the New Moon to dive in, and get busy with those activities that bring you a sense of pride and joy. And that includes those people in your life that inspire that pride and joy as well. Show them off a little and bask in their glory. A good intention for the New Moon in Virgo might be: When I believe in myself and what I have to offer, I walk with greater radiance and confidence.

Gemini

(4th House) Having Uranus station in your sign can inadvertently raise the anxiety barometer. This is because planets are that much stronger when they station, and both Gemini and Uranus have a connection to the mind and its functions. A little Uranus is a wonderful thing! It brings clarity and encourages you to celebrate your autonomy. Too much and it can feel like a shot of adrenaline to the system. That being said, the retrograde phase of Uranus can be very useful for adjusting to any recent changes you have made, or are planning on making in the future. Lucky for you, as we approach the New Moon next week, your ruling planet Mercury enters Libra where it will make some brilliant trines to both Uranus and Pluto, creating a flow of energy between the 3 planets allowing for ingenuity and creative ideas to flourish. Combine this with the New Moon on the 10th/11th and what may have felt like something of a potential crisis instantly being transformed. Use the New Moon to line up your ducks, and organize your environment in a new and creative way. You will appreciate having the pieces of your personal life coming together in this way. A good intention for the upcoming New Moon for you might be: May I find, discover, build or create the sort of sanctuary that will bring you a deeper sense of safety, security, community and belonging.

Cancer

(3rd House) Having Mars in your sign has been something of a mixed blessing. It could have brought some elements of frustration, especially if you found your initiatives and ideas being blocked, ignored or deflected. Much of that had more to do with Saturn and Neptune, rather than Mars. However what Mars was bringing you was the motivation to create some sort of new start. Now that it is past the squares to Saturn and Neptune, you may find it easier to get things moving. All the more so after the New Moon which makes a close sextile to Mars, which is literally asking you to follow through and take some kind of action. This Moon helps to clear up some of the frustration that was being generated. Use the New Moon in Virgo to regroup. This may be as simple as getting your ducks in a row, clarifying your mind and expectations, or better managing your time. With the Uranus station on the same day as the New Moon, you could feel as if you are a bit over-stimulated. If that is the case, sift out the useful information and separate it out from what is neither helpful or inspiring. Then make the intention with the New Moon at the end of next week to commit to: creating the conditions for a healthier and more balanced perspective. Begin by asking yourself what you want to fill your mind with? Then make the further intention to fill your mind with only the most positive thoughts and influences.

Leo

(2nd House) There is a sense of busyness when we enter Virgo season. For Leo it is a time to follow through with any initiatives that had been emerging in the wake of the recent Eclipse season. This is when you commit to certain plans or avenues of expression that will bring you the greatest benefit. You might want to wait until the New Moon on the 10th/11th in order to do so this year. This could be as simple as coming up with some sort of financial plan, or getting your books in order. But probably the most important item on the agenda with the New Moon this year, is about addressing your priorities. And this is especially true in light of any recent changes, or changes that you might be considering in the future. Begin with the question: What are the things that you truly want to be spending your time, money and resources on? This is about reinvesting in yourself, with a renewed enthusiasm for who you are, what you have to offer, and what you want to accomplish over the year ahead. Therefore a good affirmation for the New Moon in Virgo might be: Knowing what my true priorities are is key to understanding who I am.

Virgo

(1st House) Next week on either September 10th or 11th (depending on where you are) we have a New Moon in your sign. All those Virgo born within the bounds of September 10th &11th or who have 15-21º of Virgo Rising will be most sensitive to the surge of renewal that can come with a New Moon in your sign. Motivating and powerful, this Moon aims to get us back on track and back to work. And gratefully so. On the same day as the New Moon your ruling planet Mercury enters Libra where he aims to restore some balance and equilibrium back into your routines and daily life. It’s not easy to do so in a world that seems to be constantly trying to destabilize you lately. But if anyone can create order out of the chaos of our lives, it’s Mercury entering Libra on the same day as the New Moon falling in your sign. The New Moon is not only setting the tone for the month ahead, but the full year ahead for you. So even in the midst of change, even in the face of uncertainty, you will be supercharged to get all of your affairs in order. Nothing is likely to dissuade you. However, one thing that may become evident with the New Moon, is how important it is to take care of your health and well-being. Therefore a good intention for this New Moon might be to: Recognize that health is the greatest of blessings therefore I will do what I can to promote the conditions for my own well-being.

Libra

(12th House) This is often a time of year when Libra retreats from the bustle of the year. And with Neptune retrograde in the opposite sign of Aries, it could often seem as if the world is both confounding and misleading, to the point that you are not sure what to believe. So it can be something of a blessing that Mercury will be entering your sign next week on the same day as the Virgo New Moon. As it does so it immediately positions itself in order to make sense of the insensible, through clarity and innovative solutions. Do not shy away from the new and untried. Especially when it comes to your own health and well-being. If there’s something that you’ve been neglecting or ignoring, it will soon become obvious that you are needing to take some sort of action. Therefore look at the possibilities with the New Moon in Virgo on September 10th/11th, and give it the consideration it is well nigh due. Up until then, hunker down into the dark of the Moon. Libra often does some of their best thinking and planning when the door is closed and the distractions of the outer world are toned down. The New Moon next week will then bring you the motivation to follow through with all the plans that you are brewing. A good intention for the New Moon in Virgo might be to commit yourself to: creating the conditions for a healthier, less anxious, and more balanced life and lifestyle.

Scorpio

(11th House) The New Moon in Virgo is your annual wishing Moon. Filled with potential it aims to either recommit to certain aspirations, or to veer off in a new direction as needed. We continue to grow internally, however our external world may or may not be keeping up with where you are right now. This is where and when you make any minor adjustments in your inner gps system. And part of that might have something to do with the sorts of company you’ve been keeping. On the same day as the New Moon next week on the 10th/11th Venus which is slowing for its retrograde phase will enter the sign of Scorpio, and as it does so she has the capacity both to open old wounds as well as to heal them. This will be an ongoing theme over the months ahead, but one thing that can be happening coincidentally with the New Moon is this feeling of being brought in alignment with those who will be walking with you on this journey, and those who will not. The New Moon in Virgo has an affinity with the sorts of friends and groups you are associated with, which when aligned with your own aspirations, can bring you a boost of motivation and confidence. A good reminder for this New Moon might be that: When I surround myself with others who share similar interests, aspirations and hopes for the future, I find myself more motivated and inspired to achieve my goals.

Sagittarius

(10th House) It is at this time of year that Sagittarius will find that a certain role that they have taken on might be gaining a little attention. It can something to do with work or career, or perhaps the place you work for. But it can also be some other role that you’ve taken on, and seems to now be taking off. This could happen through its own volition but any efforts you make to promote something you do, can take off on the tail winds of the Virgo New Moon on September 10th/11th. This is because this is a very pro-active and motivated New Moon. If nothing else, use the New Moon in Virgo to organize, and create a plan, understanding that there still may be a few twists and turns before all is said and done. On the same day as the New Moon, Uranus will make its station for its retrograde phase which will last until February. In a sense this looks like the necessity to create a plan, and organize your life despite a world that seems to keep on throwing these curve balls in your direction. If anyone can juggle a few balls in the air without blinking an eye, it’s Sagittarius. Especially when you’ve got your eye on something. A good intention for this Moon might be: May I recognize and follow the best sort of path that will help me to fulfill my ever-evolving potential.

Capricorn

(9th House) In Virgo season Capricorn will often find themselves thinking about the future. This can be in terms of self-improvement, or improving your prospects. What experiences are you needing? What more might you want to learn? What credentials need to be applied for? Capricorn is a sign that is constantly thinking of ways to improve themselves and their position in the world, and the New Moon in Virgo lends itself to this idea of looking for new and better ways to do so. Some of these may be quite simple, such as re-writing a resume, or just stepping back and gathering all of the threads of a life well lived, in order to make sense of what more needs to get done. This is the time of year in which Capricorn is concerned with expanding their horizons, if only just a bit. And speaking of expanding your horizons, that can include thinking about organizing future trips abroad. But it is also a good time to remind yourself of the importance of the journey as well as the destination. Therefore a good affirmation for this New Moon might be: I strive for improvement instead of expecting perfection.

Aquarius

(8th House) In Virgo season Aquarius can sometimes feel as if they are overwhelmed with the need to take care of business. This can include some very mundane (and boring) tasks that require attention to details, paperwork, and even things like applications. This can include things such as applying for insurance, stocking up on necessities, filing necessary forms, or paying the bill. But just think what would happen if you were to neglect these mundane but necessary chores? What if you forgot to pay the mortgage or take out that insurance? This is what keeps chaos at arm’s length. The New Moon in Virgo on September 10th/11th is about preparing yourself for the future. And sometimes in order to do so, it is necessary to not only have all these safety nets in place, but also to let go of the excess things that you no longer need, and may in fact be getting in the way. In this way the New Moon in Virgo is a time each year to clear out the clutter of the past, and doing what is needed in order to be prepared for the future. A good affirmation for this New Moon might be: Through eliminating, cleansing and purifying the past, I clear the way for positive growth and change.

Pisces

(7th House) The New Moon in Virgo on September 10th/11th could feel like an itch that you can’t quite get to. Until you devise something on the edge of creative ingenuity to solve the problem. And it might be easier than you imagine it to be. It is not unusual at this time of year to reassess your alliances and partnerships, asking yourself, who are those that you know you can truly rely on to be there. And that includes all those times of uncertainty, unforeseen changes and challenges. The hard stuff as well as the easy stuff. If there is something off, the New Moon is going to let you know that it can no longer be ignored. The good news is that the New Moon in Virgo can open you up to new ideas and perspectives that are not only useful but could also prove to be healing. Look for solutions that will help to facilitate mutually beneficial agreements and understandings. Doing so will greatly benefit you over the months ahead that Venus will be in its retrograde phase. Use the New Moon to go for advice or guidance or approach others who might be able to help. A good intention for the New Moon next week might be: By finding points of agreement with others, I can do my part in restoring civility and order in the world.
