Horoscopes: July 10th thru the 17th

July 9, 2026 Lauren Coleman

“Supplement turc Osman _ Cancer”

For the New Moon for your sign or natal house placement for the New Moon at 22º of Cancer:

Aries

(or the 4th House) The New Moon in Cancer (on Tuesday, July 14th) combined with the New Mercury cycle is just infusing you with an extra surge of energy. And coming off of the recent Mars/Uranus transit last week, you may finally have the motivation to take a few much needed risks and chances. Aries is never a slacker. But with all that vital energy coming from the recent Mars transit and the New Moon this week, and ready to make whatever changes are necessary, use the surge that the New Moon brings to lay the foundation for a tentative plan. Mercury is also still in its retrograde phase as it crosses the heart of the Sun, therefore also ask: What precautions can I take for the future, in order to make sure that myself and my family will be safe and secure? It may be that when you explore all of your options that you may stay with what you are most familiar with, and what brings you comfort, but you still might want to explore your options. The New Moon in Cancer puts your focus more closely on home an family: where you live, who you are living with, the people in your care and those who care for you. It is also when you are being asked to take care of your inner, emotional concerns, so that you can feel safe and secure in the world. Take care of what’s practical. But also think in terms of creating your own personal sanctuary. Somewhere that you can go to heal, mend and find inner peace. New Moons, along with the New Mercury cycle which coincides with this one, are about new beginnings and for Aries that can include: New beginnings concerning home and family; Nesting; Making your home environment more personable or comfortable; improving relationships with family and/or parents; and finding ways to celebrate the signifiant events in your life that have led you to where you are now.

Taurus

(or the 3rd House) Venus just entered Virgo recently crossing the true South Node point, drawing you back into the past in order to truly connect with what both your heart and your mind wants. With Mercury still retrograde and in the heart of the New Moon in Cancer on Tuesday, turn your focus within, let yourself find some sort of inner refuge. You will be grateful for the opportunity to do so. For by purging your mind of extraneous demands, you will be able to see more, notice more, and feel more. Venus also makes a square to Uranus this week, which wants very much to explore new horizons, but not without connecting to the things that are most important to you first. Cancer, much like Taurus, is a sign of safety, comfort and security. But that doesn’t mean you can’t explore new horizons, or consider new options. Especially if your current circumstances are supporting you in the ways that you are craving. Both Taurus and Cancer crave that feels solid and dependable. Do make yourself aware of your options. But also know what your heart wants in the end. New Moons are about new beginnings, and with the New Moon in Cancer, that can include doing things like: beginning a new class, or wanting to learn more about a particular subject; perhaps learning more effective ways to communicate with others. It can also point to becoming more involved in your community or neighborhood, and wanting to get in touch with siblings or old mates. This is a great time to start a journal, or make a commitment to cultivate the sort of environment that will allow your mind and your imagination to grow and thrive. A good intention for this Moon might be: May I create a sanctuary of peace, safety and security within my own mind and perspective.

Gemini

or the 2nd House) Your Ruling planet Mercury enters the heart of the Sun this week, beginning its own new cycle, just a few days before the New Moon on Tuesday. Take some time out on Sunday for some personal introspection and contemplation. What are those people or things that feed and nourish your heart and soul? And how can you make these more of a priority over the next several months. This is something of a re-set for Gemini, as you reacquaint yourself with your most pressing priorities and needs going forward. And with Mars and Uranus also bringing a surge of restless energy in your sign, see if you can channel it in some sort of productive way. In the mean time you might want to take advantage of the New Moon in Cancer on Tuesday to further explore those important needs and priorities. Taking an inventory of your options may help to ease any anxiety or trepidation about the sorts of possibilities that the future can bring. Because the New Moon in Cancer can often concern financial security for you, you might also want to ask yourself: What steps can I take to be more financially secure in the future? What are the things I truly need, and what are the things I can do without? It is also a time in which you are being asked to more fully appreciate your value, and what you have to offer. And to open yourself up to the idea of receiving in kind. Therefore a good intention for this Moon might be: I am worthy of all the bounty that nature provides. Or perhaps: Knowing what my true priorities are is key to understanding who I am, and what I most want to invest my valuable time, money and resources on.

Cancer

(or the 1st House) The New Moon in Cancer on Tuesday, July 14th, is your annual New Moon, which puts the focus on yourself, and can set the tone for the full year ahead. This would be especially true if it falls around your birthday, from July 12th thru the 16th, or you have 19-25º of Cancer Rising. Take time out to focus on your feelings, your interests, and all those things that support your health and well-being. This is your Moon for the full year ahead, in which you are being asked to plant the sorts of seeds that you would want to see flourish over the months ahead. Retrograde Mercury is also involved in this New Moon as it enters the heart of the Sun just days before the New Moon, leaving its own imprint. So this is not only your personal reboot for the year ahead, but can also serve as a reboot for the impressions on your own mindstream. Begin by reacquainting yourself with yourself, as well as all things Cancer. This self-awareness will serve you well going forward and allow you to make better decisions going forward. Some activities for the New Moon in Cancer could be: Finding ways to nourish yourself and others, feed your friends, nourish your mind, as well as your soul and imagination. Gather the tribe, surround yourself with your loved ones. Go home. Get in touch with your roots. Revisit some family traditions. Then make the intention with the New Moon on Tuesday to: Surround myself with those things, those people and those experiences that support me heart and soul, and bring me to a deeper level of acceptance and belonging.

Leo

(or the 12th House) It would not be unusual for you to find yourself wanting to retreat from the world at this time of the year. Perhaps you find yourself inclined to take yourself out of the limelight, go on a mini vacation, taking some time out and away and even beyond. This could be hard to do now that Jupiter is in your sign, but you might want to create the conditions that will allow you to connect with yourself. Doing so will allow you to restore your vital energy, and prepare you for the upcoming Solar Eclipse in your sign in August You will want to tie up some loose ends, and bring certain elements from the past to some sort of final conclusion. Doing so can bring a tremendous feeling of freedom and release. This is the peace before the storm. Therefore retreat to your place of safety. Somewhere where you will restore your center and connect with that feeling of peace. As a result, no matter what may ensue in the outer world, you will remain centered and resilient. Use the New Moon on Tuesday to: revisit or explore your past; Reminisce; Process the events of the previous year. Spend time in reflection. Go on a retreat or enter a sacred space. Go to places that bring inspiration. Pay attention to your dreams. Or dare to explore the boundaries of your imagination. A good intention for this Moon might be: May I be led to cultivate deeper peace and security within my heart and mind. Or: I want to make more time for those things that inspire me and nurture my imagination.

Virgo

(or the 11th House) Just two days before the New Moon on Tuesday, retrograde Mercury will enter the heart of the Sun, beginning its next 4 month cycle. As a result this week is a reboot for both mind and soul in the deeply emotional sign of Cancer. Simultaneously Venus has just entered Virgo where she crossed over the South Node point, drawing you into the past in order for you to truly know what both your heart and mind want. Reminisce, reflect, connect with yourself and those who are walking on this path with you. With both Mars and Uranus in Gemini you may have been feeling all sorts of restlessness. But it can also get you moving and willing to explore new horizons. On Tuesday, the New Moon in Cancer aims to fulfill some of your more heartfelt hopes and wishes for the future. Therefore dare to toss your dreams into space with the New Moon this week. Do so knowing that when the time is right, you will attract and recognize those conditions that will allow you to make those dreams a closer reality. For Virgo, the New Moon in Cancer is about: Networking with others who are in common cause towards the fulfillment of your ideals; working with or joining a group that shares the same goals as you do; forming alliances, or deepening commitments to the ones you already have. But most important is this idea of connecting with the hopes and wishes that you would like to see realized over the year ahead. A good intention for the New Moon on Tuesday might be: If this wish is meant to be fore me, may I see the conditions arise that will allow it to be so.

Libra

(or the 10th House) In Cancer season Libra will often find themselves looking to the future. But before we even enter the week, Venus entered Virgo where it crosses the South Node point on Friday. Combine that with the retrograde Mercury in the very heart of the Sun, and in some way you are being drawn back to the past, only to find yourself waiting there all along. Allow yourself to sink deeply into your heart and soul in order to know what your heart craves. But also use this week to reflect on all of the events that have brought you here to this place in time. Reflect on all of the accomplishments, the mistakes, the good turns and the distractions. And use these as a basis to lead you where you see yourself going in the future. Ask yourself: What is it that is foremost in your mind, that you would like to see yourself accomplish over the year ahead? What do you want to be known for? How can you tie up all those accomplishments of the past, and turn them into something that can flourish in the future? Use your imagination to visualize what you would like your future to look like, or to find new and creative ways to do what you do even better. Then plant these seeds in the emerging potential implied by both the New Moon and the New Mercury cycle. A good intention for this Moon might be: May I find the best ways and means to use my gifts and talents in service to others. And: I see myself as a guide to others, that they may also achieve their dreams for the future.

Scorpio

(or the 9th House) Each year, the New Moon in Cancer can feel like a call of the wild. Whether that means orchestrating some sort of adventure, considering the ways that you might be able to expand  your mind along with your imagination. If you are not quite ready or able to expand your environs in the outer world, how can you do so internally? What new things are calling you? What seeds might you want to plant in order to expand your knowledge, or expand your mind? This latter is even more important, for just a few days before the New Moon, retrograde Mercury enters the heart of the Sun beginning its own cycle. With the retrograde phase of Mercury it can feel a bit like we are needing to take a few steps back in order to take 4 steps forward. Even if all the pieces are not yet quite in the right places, the potential is ripe for new intentions. What do you want to learn more about? What knowledge would you like to spread broadcast and share with others? Learning, teaching, guiding, or spread broadcasting a message are all ways to learn about or impact the world at large. Therefore use the New Moon to increase your understanding, open up your perceptions, and explore the possibilities that are unfolding before you. Try something new. Look for ways to make the impossible, possible. A good intention for the New Moon in Cancer on Tuesday might be: May I be willing to go where I need to be in order to fulfill my destiny.

Sagittarius

(or the 8th House) New Moons are times of new beginnings in which we sow the seeds that we would like to see ripen in the future. As it happens just days before the New Moon, retrograde Mercury will enter the heart of the Sun beginning its cycle as well in the sign of Cancer. For Sagittarius, the New Moon in Cancer presents opportunities to deepen your commitments to others. It can also mean quite the opposite, giving you permission to just say no in order to release you from burdensome responsibilities or obligations that you’ve been carrying around. That can include clearing debts, balancing the books, and calling in the debts that are owed you. It can also bring an opportunity to repair that which had been broken. Whether that be a relationship, a memory, an agreement, or even a leg. Rebuilding, rehabilitating, and preparing for the future are all within the aegis of the New Moon in Cancer. Like a second start, if you were to ask yourself how you would want to live this precious life of yours going forward, what would that look like? And keeping that in mind, what then are those things and who are the people that you would most want to invest in going forward? A good intention for this New Moon might be: May I get the best value and return on my property, on my investments, my services and commitments going forward.

Capricorn

(or the 7th House) For Capricorn, Cancer season is when you revisit your most important relationships, and the commitments that you have made to others. And perhaps this is even more so now that Mercury has been working its retrograde way back through the sign of Cancer, reflecting, remembering and reminiscing on the relationships that once were, in order to consider whether and how well your needs are currently being met. This coming week, not only do we have a New Moon in Cancer, but as retrograde Mercury enters the heart of the Sun on Sunday, it commences its own 4 month cycle. Seeds are being sown, and intentions are being clarified. And as they do so they are seeking fertile soil in which to take root. Through reflection explore the ways that you have done relationships in the past, and whether or not you might want to do things differently. Use the New Moon on Tuesday, to reflect on and reassess your commitments in your most important relationships. It can also be an opportunity to get advice and guidance from wise counselors and those that you trust. Or become a mentor for others. The New Moon in Cancer is a good time for: renewing your vows; committing more deeply to relationships you now have; making yourself more available to others; and allowing yourself to bare your soul to others. A good intention for this Moon might be: I want to attract the best possible person or people who will support, complement and honor what I wish to accomplish. Or perhaps: I want to attract the support system or people who are best for me and my current situation.

Aquarius

(or the 6th House) Each year, the New Moon in Cancer is an opportunity to reorganize your life, and further explore those things that help to support your health and well-being. This is even more so this year, for just a few days before the New Moon, retrograde Mercury will enter the heart of the Sun beginning its cycle as well, also in the sign of Cancer. Look for ways that you can use your time more efficiently. Change up your daily routines in such a way that you can free yourself up for things that you would much rather be doing, and that will help to support any new health goals that you set for yourself. For Aquarius, the New Moon in Cancer is a Moon of self-improvement. That can focus on your health and well-being. But it can also be concerned with improving a skill, learning something useful, or figuring out ways to improve your relationships in the work space. Cancer season is a good time to think about: further developing or perfecting whatever useful skills you have; using your skills to be of service to others; organizing your work space; focusing on those things that support your health and well-being; making a commitment to a healthier diet or lifestyle; and recognizing the importance of also supporting your emotional and psychological well-being. Therefore some good intentions to make with the New Moon in Cancer on Wednesday might be: May I find the best healer and/or healing method that will fully restore my well-being. Or: May I find the best ways to use my skills to their best advantage.

Pisces

(or the 5th House) The New Moon in Cancer on Tuesday is an opportunity to plant seeds and intentions of joy, love and appreciation. Just days before the New Moon, retrograde Mercury will enter the heart of the Sun beginning its own cycle. By reflecting and reassessing the ways that you manage and use your precious time, you are seeking fertile soil in which those seeds and intentions are capable of taking root. There is a reminder here of the need for a wee bit love and appreciation in your life. Sow seeds of love, with the intention that that love will continue to grow. This is also when and where you revisit your inner child, rediscovering what it feels like to look through the eyes of a child, with wonder and possibility. Both Pisces and Cancer are water signs, so look for your joys through your own element: swimming, surfing, wading, in the surf, dreaming, connecting with others. Find some outlet through which you can more fully express your heart-felt yearnings. Then make the intention with the New Moon to connect with your heart center. For this is what is going to support you in even the most difficult and trying times ahead. Use the New Moon in Cancer on Tuesday to: further develop a creative skill or hobby; spend more time with children; socialize with others who share the same interests; go to places for the sheer sake of fun and recreation; and rediscover what it feels like to wonder. In addition to making the intention to connect with your heart center, a good intention for this Moon might be: I honor the vast field of experience known as the imagination, where are things are possible.
