For the New Moon in Taurus for your sign (or natal house if you know it):

Aries

(2nd House) For Aries, the New Moon in Taurus is a time in which you are being asked to redefine your self-worth. But perhaps more importantly it is a time to consider what might make yourself and your life more stable, more secure, more safe and reliable. When thinking about this idea of self-worth, it helps to examine all of your resources. That does include  your material resources, but also your own innate strengths, skills and personal assets, some of which you may have been taking for granted. On Monday, your ruling planet Mars enters Taurus, asking you to take action. But first to lay down your arms, and your defenses, and reassess your priorities. With Mars moving through the traffic that had been invading your sign recently, you may have become aware of some new developments that could be changing those priorities. Now that Mars is entering Taurus it’s time to not only process, but figure out how you are going to approach these new developments. And what you are going to do about them. Keep it simple. But also keep it real. The focus for the next 6 weeks is about creating a plan for greater security that will allow you to find the safety, support and emotional healing that will most benefit you in the foreseeable future. You can begin with reminding yourself with the New Moon in Taurus, that: “I am worthy of the bounty that the natural world has to offer.”

Taurus

(1st House) If you were to describe yourself, what would you say? How do you think you are seen, vs. how you would wish to be seen by others? Someone who is kind? Someone who is generous? Someone who did the right thing? Someone who shows up? These are the sorts of questions that can arise with a New Moon in your own sign. This annual Moon in Taurus is your yearly reboot, bringing with it, a sense of renewal. Those Taurus people born between 23-28º of Taurus (or May 14th-18th) will be most sensitive to this Moon, although all of Taurus-kind can benefit from the understanding and self-awareness that can arise with the New Moon in your sign. And if you were to invest in yourself for the year ahead, what would be the top priorities that you would like to focus on? What are those things that have brought the deepest meaning to you over the past year, and perhaps even longer than that? The New Moon affords you the ability to further commit to these, as well as to consider what new direction you might want to go. Mars entering your sign on Monday is a green light to proceed with certain initiatives and following through with any plans that had been percolating behind the scenes. Create your own priority wish list, then go out and see what you can do to make it a closer reality A good affirmation for the New Moon on Saturday might be: Knowing what my true priorities are, is key to understanding who I am, and where I need to go.

Gemini

(12th House) In order to gain the most benefit from the New Moon in Taurus on May 16th, you will want to tie up all the loose ends of your life so that you can have some time of your own, away from all the hubbub and busy-ness. This will take you out of the strain of all the doing, and into the peace that follows. You don’t have to go very far to find that place where you can be alone with yourself and your own mind. It’s closer at hand than you think. It is time to connect to Spirit, to Conscience, to your own inner and hidden world. Doing so can unleash all sorts of creative ideas, unearth long lost gifts, and invest deeper meaning and value to all that you do. And know that you really don’t need to ‘do’ very much with this New Moon, except pay attention to where your intuition and deepest heart-felt yearnings are leading you. The sign Taurus, for Gemini, is a sign of hidden gifts, hidden advantages, and the unseen things that go on behind the scenes when you are alone with your thoughts. This is a Moon that for you dwells in these hidden realms. A realm that can also bring a much needed feeling of profound peace and security, away from the turmoils of the world. A good intention for the New Moon might be: May I find that sacred place that will bring me a profound feeling of inner peace and serenity. Going within this weekend, reflecting on the past, connecting with self can be really helpful, for shortly after the New Moon, Mercury enters Gemini on Monday where it joins forces with Uranus at that sacred but unpredictable bending between the Nodes of the Moon. The New Moon helps to prepare you for any unexpected shifts. Let it be your anchor.
