For the week of May 1st thru May 8th be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries
(8th House) What you learn within the light of the Full Moon on Friday can bring confirmation for what you had already been secretly suspecting all along. It could be a little unnerving, all depending on your perspective and what it is that is being unearthed. But also know that what is being disclosed with the Full Moon in Scorpio can also bring healing and understanding. Be open to what you are being shown, even if it is not necessarily what you wanted to see or know. Full Moons can serve as mirrors, showing us aspects of ourselves that we might usually avoid or ignore. But even the darkest shadows of the Full Moon can be illuminating. Pay attention to what is being revealed. It can be easier to stick with what you want to believe, rather than an uncomfortable truth. But it is when we are willing to go down into the shadows, that we can also finally begin to heal, grow and evolve. All the more so with the Full Moon in Scorpio square Pluto which declares nothing is sacred or off limits. All the more so with Pluto stationing for its 5-month retrograde phase. You might not yet fully appreciate the transformative effect that Pluto can have in your life. During its retrograde phase Pluto has an even greater capacity to transform your role and reputation. Like an infusion of adrenaline, Mars in Aries can serve as a catalyst to help facilitate the process. You are on a mission this week, and things are moving quickly, and lo to anyone who dares to stand in the way.
Taurus
(7th House) Full Moons bring things out into the open. They are times of culmination. And never is this more so than for Taurus when the Moon is Full in Scorpio. This would be especially so for those Taureans born around May 1st, or who have 8-14º of Taurus rising. Emotions come to the surface with the Scorpio Moon. People dare to disclose their true feelings through word or deed. So much so that this is the stuff that can make or break relationships. And once you see people in their true light, it will be hard to see them any other way. The Scorpio sting can be reckless and insidious. But you won’t be taking this casually. And Full Moons can serve as turning points, all the more so with the square to stationing Pluto. It will be hard to ignore the station of Pluto on May 6th, which aims to unpack a lot of feelings. But eventually what Pluto will be showing you are the ways that you can and will be recognized in the world. For now that Pluto is in Aquarius its aim is nothing less than to bring you in alignment with your soul’s deepest purpose. If your birthday falls on or around May 1st, not only will you feel the intensity of the Full Moon, you will recognize the need to make an ending in order to reap the benefits and promise of your birthday year ahead. But all Taurus-kind should ask themselves in the light of the Full Moon in Scorpio and the station of Pluto: Am I truly passionate about what I am doing? How much do I really want this thing? Is it worth it? And if not, what is it that is calling me out on to the stage of life?
Gemini
(6th House) So many feelings come to the surface with the Full Moon in Scorpio. You may discount these. They may seem illogical and unfounded. Your logical mind will try to rationalize all those feelings and urges. But then the along comes the Full Moon in Scorpio, a moon of deep profundity. And that which you may have been trying to ignore can no longer be avoided or denied. As a result you may never see things quite the same way again. Full Moons can bring other things to the surface along with all those feelings. Things that can bring closure. And show you the ramifications of old wounds festering beneath the surface. Also know that once you see something, it will be very difficult to look away again. For not only do we have a Full Moon on Friday, but it is stirring up Pluto stationing in the far reaches of space in the sign of Aquarius. It is in this sign that Pluto has the remarkable capacity to unveil the truth, piece by piece, ever evolving your knowledge and awareness of the way things actually are. While retrograde it works on previously held ideas that are preventing you from seeing things clearly. Any self-limiting ideas, any prejudicial thoughts or assumptions will be challenged. Rather than resisting these challenges, be open to what you are being shown. Not only can it shift what you previously believed to be true, but could literally blow your mind.
Cancer
(5th House) Full Moons are often emotional. They can be cathartic and bring things out into the open. Even things that you may have been holding on to and keeping to yourself. This is when all kinds of stuff has the capacity to rise up to the surface. Even erupt. Scorpio is a sign that is somewhat volcanic, and emotions that had been simmering and percolating beneath the surface can be unleashed with this Moon. All the more so because the Full Moon is also square Pluto. Be prepared to have all the feelings. Even the buried ones, or the ones you previously denied or were afraid to share come out. It is difficult to contain even the best kept secrets during a Full Moon. Proclamations are made. Don’t fear it. Embrace it. Deeper truths are yearning to be freed. What you are seeing, learning, discovering and coming to understand, can enrich your life and inspire you to better things. The Full Moon can bring the heaviness of Pluto’s retrograde station front and center. Planets are always stronger and more evident when they station and the Full Moon, albeit brief, has this capacity to make it even deeper and more personal. It is here that you can be made aware that you are standing on the threshold of a new era in your life. And in the light of the Full Moon Pluto is giving you a glimpse, if ever so slight, of what needs to become unbound and released in order to achieve greater wholeness and healing.
Leo
(4th House) The Full Moon on Friday is trying to give you a glimpse into some of the deeper meaning of Pluto’s retrograde station this coming week. Whenever planets station they dig in more deeply. and become more evident in our lives. And it is when Pluto is in its retrograde phase, which it now will be for the next 5 months, that it turns its attention within. This is where Pluto does his best work, reminding us that the most effective changes, the real changes are those that occur on these inner planes, even if we feel like we are being compelled to change through others, or outside circumstances. When the Full Moon falls in Scorpio it could feel as if all of your secrets, all of your hidden feelings, even the skeletons you thought safely hidden in the closet, are being exposed for all the world to see. Full Moons do reveal and expose things. Even those things that we consider to be sacred and private. That can include anything that you’ve been brooding about, or that has been building up behind the scenes can be unleashed and/or brought to some sort of conclusion. The other thing that can become evident with the Full Moon are the ways that different areas of your life have become terribly imbalanced. In what ways have your personal responsibilities or distractions interfered with work or other obligations? Or conversely, how have you been neglecting your personal needs out of an obligation to someone or something else? Both are likely important, therefore establishing some sort of balance is key to this Full Moon.
Virgo
(3rd House) The Full Moon in Scorpio on Friday may find you questioning yourself. All sorts of things can come to light, changing the picture, and giving you permission to also change your mind. We continue to evolve and grow internally, even though the external things in our lives don’t necessarily reflect this. But when we are made aware of this through some event, or something someone says, or what we discover, we can never quite see things the same way again. Full Moons have this way of bringing all that up to the surface and out into the open. They bring other things as well: feelings, memories, and even some deeper understanding of the way things are. But this is precisely why you are questioning yourself. Be prepared for a change of heart. As a result you might want to wait until after the Full Moon to make any important decisions or commitments. Also know that if you become inundated with too much information, or feeling brain drain and overloaded, you’re only going to feel emotionally and mentally exhausted and overwhelmed. Give yourself some space to take it all in and process first. And then make your decisions later. Sometimes too much can just be too much. The Full Moon is also square stationing Pluto. Planets are always stronger when they station. So keep an eye on this one. Things get real when Pluto is in its retrograde phase which will last until October. And that very real stuff can wend its way through your every day life and events. Even in your daily routines. The things that you do to keep you upright, walking, healthy and organized. Even these everyday activities can feel like a full time job when Pluto is here, and is rolling about in his underworld lair.
Libra
(2nd House) When the Full Moon falls in Scorpio each year, it aims to shine a light on how well you value yourself and what you do, as well as how well you feel valued by others. Because it is in the sign of Scorpio, this may not necessarily be something that you want to admit or are even aware of. So it would not be unusual to be unaware of things that might be undercutting your self-worth or self-esteem. Things like doubt. Fear of not succeeding. But the Full Moon square Pluto, such as this one is, lures you into the shadows, in order to connect you to your soul’s deepest yearnings that cannot and will not be ignored. What ideas about yourself, your skills, your talents, are keeping your from growing? What self-limiting ideas might you want to release about abundance, self-worth and self-esteem? When Pluto stations for its retrograde phase it digs down deep and compels us to look within, rather than without, for the answers. Pluto has already been giving you something of a preview of what it is that you want more than anything. The things that would not only make you feel like you are valued, but in charge. This can go deep with the retrograde phase which lasts until October, getting you in touch with some of your soul’s deepest and most provocative yearnings. This can be unsettling for Libra who prefers to be more emotionally composed. But this same deep longing is what is driving you right now. It’s called passion. And it is this that will open your heart to all the abundance and affirmation that your heart is yearning for.
Scorpio
(1st House) The Full Moon on Friday is ultimately about reclaiming your own power. The Full Moon in your own sign of Scorpio has the capacity to dig deep beneath the surface, even more than usual. Unearthing, revealing, unfolding. All sorts of things are rising to the surface. Including things that you might not have even known were there. And it’s all for the purpose of restoring the balance, and processing all that has occurred since Pluto first entered Aquarius last year. The Full Moon shines a light on you and your life, and serves as a mirror for you to see things in full relief. This Moon will be most strongly felt by those Scorpios born between the 1st and 6th of November or who have 8-14º of Scorpio Rising. But all Scorpios should be feeling the intensity of this Full Moon square Pluto in Aquarius. Pluto has that ability to rake up the dirt and turn over the rocks in our lives, exposing all the creatures that lie beneath. All the more so when Pluto is stationing as it is this week. Most people would be inclined to run away from what you find there. But there is no hiding from the truth. But rather than turning away, Scorpio is all in and ready to dive into the very heart of things. Even if it is a little dark down there. For the years that Pluto will be in Aquarius you will be learning a great deal about yourself. Perhaps more than you ever wanted to know. Yet this is because you are also being tasked with re-writing the narrative so that you no longer need to carry the old scripts with you any more. Re-writing that narrative is your homework for the next 5 months of the retrograde phase of Pluto.
Sagittarius
(12th House) Oftentimes it can feel as if our lives are subject to the whims of outrageous fortune. However with Pluto stationing in Aquarius this week, we are being shown that often what appears to be fate, or some twist of fortune that is beyond our control, can be transformed simply by looking at things from another perspective. And if you dig deeply enough, the world could literally be transformed. This week the Full Moon in Scorpio is aspecting Pluto which is making its retrograde station on Wednesday. For Sagittarius, Scorpio is that place where you store things away that you would normally prefer not to share, and prefer to keep hidden from view. These can be memories, safely tucked away in the past from whence they came. Or they can be things that were put in a safe place, and then consequently forgotten as they are so well hidden from view. But with the Full Moon in Scorpio, even things that were previously hidden, lost or forgotten have this way of resurfacing. And like ghosts from the past, here they are again. And with them come all of their attendant secrets, feelings, and even failings and their accompanying emotions that you had also thought safely tucked away. But this Moon is particularly intense and emotional. And possibly even therapeutic and cathartic in its after effects. In this way, even those things dug up from the darkest recesses of your subconscious mind, even those things emerging from some forgotten moment in time, are not only reminding you of who you once were but also who you are now, and are capable of becoming in the future. Endings always pave the way for new beginnings, and the past can lend deeper meaning to, and help to define and explain the present.
Capricorn
(11th House) Full Moons can often be revealing. And the Scorpio Moon can be even more so. Unveiling, revealing, the Scorpio Full Moon will bring some things to closure, even as so many things are coming to the surface that you hadn’t realized were even there. And what comes to light, might even change the bigger picture. Even small changes can feel transformative with the Full Moon this year. If that is the case, totally embrace it. For it could be that you are reaching an important turning point in your life in which you are being brought precisely where you need to be in order to see the fulfillment of your hopes and wishes for the future. But in order to do this you are also needing to get your priorities and your needs in order. This may be of necessity. Pluto stations for its retrograde phase this coming week, and when it does so, it digs in. Pluto in Aquarius aims to so gradually transform your relationship with wealth, self-worth and even self-esteem, that your life will eventually be quite different from what it is now. But perhaps the deepest teachings that Pluto brings, especially in these 5 month retrograde phases are not how much, or what you have, so much as how well you value yourself, and what you have to offer to others. That can include things like strength of character, personal integrity, values and living up to your own standards. There could be a tendency to believe that you can’t change the way things are, however, with Pluto in its retrograde phase, it’s tuning you into the reality that we are all capable of evolving and growing, even in ways that we might not have imagined.
Aquarius
(10th House) Pay attention to what is being revealed in the light of the Full Moon this Friday. Full Moons are often revealing. And this one may be even more so as it is square Pluto stationing in your sign. Digging deep beneath the surface, but within the light of the Full Moon, Pluto is bringing all sorts of things to the surface. And that can include the results of decisions and actions made in the past. Rewards will give confirmation that you chose well. Consequences can remind us of what still needs tweaking. Either way, you are being given a higher vantage point and perspective that allows you to see not only what has brought you to this time and place, but to give you a glimpse of where you are going to go from here. Pluto traveling in your sign is deep. It aims to transform your entire life while it travels here. Cynthia Occelli tells us that in order for a seed to reach its fullest potential, it must first become completely undone. The shell cracks, and its insides fall out. At first this could be a little scary. But in fact, what Pluto is doing is clearing the way for something better to come along. All sorts of things fall out of the cracks, as we become undone. Some of that is the stuff that has been preventing you from taking greater control over your own life and progress, and needs to go. But also what is being released are the tools that will allow you to take back that control, rebuild, reinvent and take the reins of your own life in your hands. And never will this be more critically addressed than during the retrograde phases of Pluto in your own sign.
Pisces
(9th House) There is something of an evolutionary process that will be occurring now that Pluto is in the sign of Aquarius. It’s literally attempting to change you from the inside out. The work that it does on these inner and subliminal levels of your being will have the capacity to completely change your world. As well as your world view. However, as Pluto is now stationing for its retrograde phase, we may all become aware of a certain resistance to those changes. Change can be hopeful, for it means that our lives might improve. But what if it doesn’t? And so we resist the changes that seem so uncertain. But pay attention to the what is being revealed in the light of the Full Moon in Scorpio on Friday. Full Moons can be telling. They can show us things we had not previously known or seen. The Full Moon in Scorpio can be intense and even catch you a little off guard. However what you are seeing also has the capacity to transform your perspective through knowledge. And as a result of what is being revealed what you are hearing, seeing, or understanding you can never quite see things the same way again. If you feel as if your beliefs are being challenged, know that these may be simply challenging you to become more informed. Knowledge brings wisdom.
