Horoscopes for the New Moon in Pisces

March 12, 2026 Lauren Coleman

“Pisces” by Johfra Bosschart

For the New Moon at 28º Pisces 27’ read your Sun and/or Rising sign (or the natal house placement for the New Moon in your chart, if you know it):

Aries

(12th House) The New Moon is a time for seeding new beginnings. But the New Moon in Pisces, for Aries, is about tying up loose ends and bringing things to closure. It’s a time of letting go in order to make more room in your life for what’s to come in the future. With Saturn and Neptune in Aries a new vision for the future is trying to take hold. But in order for that vision to grow roots, you first have to pull up the weeds of a former life. This can be literal, as in combing through your closets, and clearing out the basement of your life. But more importantly is the work that is needing to be done internally, such as letting go of old ideas about who you are. Removing the space junk from your inner and outer life allows you to move on with a much lighter load, and to have greater clarity about where you are going to go. You can’t just get up and go if you are holding on to all that baggage that is only tying you to a life that you have since outgrown. If you don’t know where to start, begin with what is right there in front of you. In some way the universe is trying to get you on track with your destiny. You probably already are. But in others there is still some work to be done to create the space for your new life to begin. Look for ways this week to symbolically release the past in order to walk more freely into your future. Expect matters to come to the forefront concerning: Things that are needing to end; Things that are needing to be tied up and finished; Revisiting the Past, Releasing the Past; revisiting things that you had forgotten; things that were Hidden; Paying attention to: What lies beneath; the Subconscious and your Dream world. They are trying to send you secret messages.

Taurus

(11th House) Each year at the New Moon in Pisces you are afforded an opportunity to revamp and realign yourself with your dreams and your aspirations for the future. Don’t play it small. Jupiter, the planet that has to do with our Vision for the Future just stationed direct while also square your ruling planet Venus. Think in terms of vaster possibilities and new adventures taunting you from afar, and what you may need to do in order to make those dreams a closer possibility. The New Moon is in the very last degrees of Pisces, the final sign of the zodiac, which implies this need to do some thorough revamping and house cleaning. And that applies to your dreams for the future as well. You have been doing a great deal of growing. And now it is time for the outer world to catch up with the person you are now. In order to do that you will have to recalibrate your aspirations for the future, bringing them more in alignment with who you are now, and wish to be in the future. Ask yourself with the New Moon, “What needs to be released in order to connect with my hopes and aspirations for the future?’ or “How can I make my life more streamlined, freer and simpler?” With the New Moon in Pisces expect matters to come to the forefront concerning: Friendships, People or groups you are connected to; Shared Ideals; Networks; Social Media; Hopes and Aspirations for the Future.

Gemini

(10th House) We usually think of the New Moon in Pisces as a time for withdrawal. But for you, the New Moon in Pisces is focused on your outer world. However with Mercury in the last days of its retrograde in Pisces, both are valid. Mercury retrograde in this area of your chart is reflecting on all the roles that you have in your life, and how you feel about those. And in order for you to visualize any future goals, the New Moon is asking you to tune out some of the noise in the outer world, in order to turn within. This is important right now. For the rest of the month, your ruling planet will be closely aligned with the North Node in Pisces. Mercury is your personal messenger. But when retrograde and in Pisces, the messages he is trying to convey to you are in the form of deep inner feelings, rather than words. It can, for some, even tune you in to some sort of calling. Perhaps something you had put up on a shelf somewhere and forgot about. Pay attention to those things, those dreams for the future that are pulling you in a certain direction. A direction that can bring you greater meaning and purpose. The New Moon in Pisces on Wednesday (Thursday) is about dreaming your dream. It is also about not giving up on a dream just because it’s not perfect. Use the New Moon to be open to guidance. Expect matters to come to the forefront concerning: Your personal or public Status, One or more Role that you are known for, Your Reputation, Career, Goals, Destiny, Your Boss, Authorities, the place you Work For, One of your Parents

Cancer

(9th House) At the New Moon in Pisces, we all ask ourselves what dreams may come, but all the more so for Cancer, who already lives in the world of the imagination. And with Jupiter recently stationed in Cancer it is also asking you to think in terms of broader possibilities. What ideas about yourself are you needing to update or release? The New Moon in Pisces is a Moon of inspiration, and it’s trying to turn you in a certain direction that can help to align you with your dreams and hopes for the future. One thing that you might want to explore could be the ways that previously held ideas or beliefs were standing in the way of you being able to expand your horizons. There is a vast world of possibilities out there, just waiting to be explored. And one thing that could become evident is that you don’t have to keep doing things the way you used to. Your world view may be shifting. As well as your place in it. And by letting go of what is no longer relevant, makes space for new opportunities for growth and possibility. Even small shifts in perception can be quite liberating with this New Moon. You can expect matters to come to the forefront concerning: Religious, Political or other Beliefs, Travel, Journeys, Education, Certifications, Courts of Law, Legal Decisions, Relatives and Places overseas or far away

Leo

(8th House) In Pisces season, which lasts until the Equinox on March 20th, we dare to explore more universal concepts, and reach beyond the mundane avenues of our lives. This can include things like finding deeper meaning in what we do, and searching for a sense of purpose. Why are we here? What is the fundamental meaning of life? And what can I do to make what I do, or my life, more meaningful and invested with purpose? In this way, the New Moon in Pisces can bring some deeply invested inspiration, urging you to take greater control over your own life and destiny. It may not be conventional. And it may not be what everyone else tells you you are supposed to do. For in some way, over the past 7 years your destiny has been tied up with the idea of having the freedom to live your own best life. Endings and beginnings are interwoven in this New Moon, moving beyond old fears, wounds, resentments and obstacles. And sowing the intention with the New Moon on Wednesday (Thursday), for healing and renewal. Therefore ask yourself, “What are those things that are holding me back and preventing me from growing?” and “What old habits, tendencies or fears need to be released, in order to make a fresh new beginning?” Expect matters to come to the foreground concerning: Life, Death, Renewal and Rebirth; Marketing; Resources shared with others; Debts, Loans, Taxes, Investments, Inheritances, Wills, Sexuality, Surgery, Recovery, Contracts, Planning for the future; Magic and the Occult; and the Pandora’s box of habits, obsessions, fears and dreads.

Virgo

(7th House) The New Moon in Pisces, for Virgo, can be a time of reassessment of all of your relationships and partnerships. That can also include any agreements or promises made to others. With Mercury retrograde, and also in Pisces, you may find yourself reflecting on all the important relationships in the past. The New Moon however, is not about the past, but about looking to the future, and can even open up opportunities for new connections. But which may require you to let go of what once was. Not only certain individuals, but the ways that you have been doing relationships in the past. Having had both Saturn and Neptune in Pisces these past several years, could leave you feeling skeptical about this. But there is a freshness to this New Moon. A freedom to start anew. Whether that means a new commitment, a new start, or a sense of renewal in a current relationship, in some way you are being asked to let down your guard, and to be open  to connecting in ways that you had not been able to in the past several years. So rather than keeping others at bay with a scowl and an air of disinterest, take advantage of the opportunity to go out and meet others halfway. Just a few days after the New Moon, Mercury will station, ending its retrograde, while also conjunct the North Node in Pisces. There are mystical forces at work here, trying to bring the right people together, while possibly separating others. Expect matters to come to the foreground concerning: Partners, Competitors, Close friends, counselors, Advisors, Mentors, Clients, your Audience and the Outside world.

Libra

(6th House) The New Moon in Pisces is a time of year in which Libra will want to make some sort of renewed commitment to either their health and well being, or their job and daily routines. Or perhaps a bit of both. This is about exploring the ways that you use your time in your daily life, the routines, the things that you do on a daily basis. This is not only about all the things you do to keep you upright and functional, but the things that you might want to further tweak and improve. At the New Moon your ruling planet Venus is making an exact square to Jupiter, a planet of potential. You have dreams to fulfill, goals to achieve. And you will want to be in the best possible condition in order to do so. While Mercury has been in its retrograde phase it has been asking you to review and reconsider your daily routines. That can also be about letting go of things that are not serving your health and well-being, and were draining rather than sustaining you. In some way you are being freed up to create new schedules, new routines, and a healthier life and lifestyle that will bring you greater meaning and purpose in the long run. Focus in on decreasing stress, regaining your center of gravity, and connecting with your inner needs. Therefore revise that schedule, making it work for you, while realizing that you don’t necessarily have to keep doing things the way you have been in the past. New Moons are about New Beginnings. Expect matters to come to the forefront concerning: Health, Health Providers, those things that Support your Physical and Mental Health and Well-being, Diet, Routines, Regimens; Work, Job, Co-workers, and the Work environment,

Scorpio

(5th House) This is a good week to reinvigorate your life with just enough inspiration to get you motivated, and moving out into the world. The New Moon in Pisces each year is an opportunity for Scorpio to reconnect with those people and things that get those creative juices flowing, and that you really enjoy doing and/or being with. This is about making a commitment to having more joy, fun, and pleasure in your life without having to feel guilty about that. With Saturn and Neptune in Pisces these past several years, you may be a little skeptical about that even being possible. However, now that they have moved into Aries, you are being asked to consider new ways of being, of even enjoying what you do, and doing what you enjoy. It may not necessarily be all that apparent, but with your ruling planet conjunct the North Node in Pisces, in some way you are being asked to bring your life more in alignment with your true own true North. This week make a commitment with the New Moon in Pisces to invest in yourself living your own best life, and to welcome joy back into your life. Things you might want to focus on this coming month: your children if you have them; feeling comfort with yourself and your own style; not feeling like you have to conform to the standards of others; and connecting with those people and things that just make you feel good about yourself. Expect matters to come to the forefront concerning: To Love and be Loved and Admired, Romance, Sporting events, being free to more fully express yourself, Children, including your own inner child, and Embracing what is Special and Unique about you

Sagittarius

(4th House) The New Moon in Pisces is usually a time each year to pay more attention to those things that support you in the most fundamental ways: your home, your family, the homeland, and all those things that bring you a feeling of belonging, and creating a supportive community. You have already been working to make these areas of your life a stronger and more reliable foundation which you can rely on for years to come. Now that your ruling planet Jupiter has stationed direct again, you will begin to see the benefits of having done so. The New Moon in Pisces is asking you to dream your dream, to live it, and be inspired for ever better things to come. Be inspired. And then look for practical ways to make your dreams a closer reality. The sorts of things that you might want to focus on for the lunar month ahead: Making your roots even stronger; Making your home and your environment more comfortable and attuned to your inner needs. While Neptune was in Pisces it was trying to get you to envision a more perfect home and environment. Closer to the ideal that you envisioned for yourself. And at this point you have probably achieved much of that. Now it’s time to consider what your next steps will be. Expect matters to come to the forefront concerning: Home, Family, One of your Parents, Family members, Early Childhood Memories, the Ancestors, and the ancestral Homeland, your Supportive Community, and the End of a Matter.

Capricorn

(3rd House) The New Moon in Pisces is serving as something of an inspiration for where you are needing to focus your attention for the coming month. New Moons are times of new beginnings and the New Moon in Pisces is trying to move you in a new (and perhaps refreshing) direction. Begin by following your curiosity and your interests. What are the sorts of things that you would want to fill your mind with? And if you were to be preoccupied in some sort of daydreamy introspection, what thoughts would you want taking up residence in your mind? This can be as simple as pursuing a subject that you are really, really interested in, and want to know more about. What is stirring your curiosity these days? For the past several years, you’ve been so focused on self-improvement and being better informed, or perfecting certain skills. Now you are more prepared to show the world what you have to offer, but not without focusing, and reflecting on all that you had learned these past 7 years. Now it’s time to put all that into application. And at this point with the New Moon in Pisces, you might want to consider what else you need to know. . Perhaps a new skill. Or taking what you do in a new direction. Expect matters to come to the foreground concerning: Your perceptions, What you know, What you see, hear and understand, What you have learned, Communications, how you get around, your Car, Vehicles, your Commute, your Neighbors, Siblings, Classmates, and your Neighborhood

Aquarius

(2nd House) Now that your ruling planet Saturn has moved into Aries, you may find yourself wanting to take greater personal control over the direction that your life is taking. These past several years you have been focusing on making your life more safe, secure and sustainable. The New Moon in Pisces this week will have you reevaluating those structures that you currently have in place. And whether or not those structures are sustaining or draining you. Is what you do feeding your self-worth, and are you feeling appreciated? If something is working, then you will want to do more of that. On the other hand, if you are not feeling fully appreciated the New Moon in Pisces might find you wanting to consider new options. Last week, Jupiter, the ruling planet of Pisces, stationed direct, asking you to dream your dream, consider new possibilities, and expand your horizons. And perhaps in a way that will free you up so that you can do more of the things that you want to do. It may be that in order to get what you want, you may need to let go of something that is no longer working. And it may be worth it. If something is working then you will want more of that. If not, there will be some things to reconsider going forward. Expect matters to come to the foreground concerning: Finances, Possessions, Investments, Sustainability, Self-worth, Self-esteem, your true Priorities, and Survival.

Pisces

(1st House) The New Moon in Pisces each year is a time for your own personal renewal and rebirth. Those Pisceans born on or around March 18th, or who have the last degrees of Pisces Rising (27-29º) will be most sensitive to this New Moon, and this time of renewal. However, all Pisces-kind will resonate with the themes of the New Moon in your sign. All the more so when you consider that your traditional ruling planet, Jupiter just made its direct station, opening up your horizons as well as your possibilities. Saturn and Neptune also just recently left your sign, freeing you up in some significant ways. What may have seemed so bleak, is now paving the way for new perspectives, and new ways of being. And that may not necessarily be what others tell you you should be doing with your life, but what you know you should be doing for yourself. Expect matters to come to the foreground concerning: Self, your Environment, Self-development, Your body and Health, your Personal Role that you take on with others, and how others perceive you to be.
