Horoscopes: May 9th thru the 16th

May 8, 2025 Lauren Coleman

For the Full Moon at 22º of Scorpio for your sign or natal house:

Aries

(8th House) What you learn within the light of the Full Moon this Monday, can bring confirmation for what you had already been secretly suspecting all along. This could even prove to be a little surprising. Or unnerving, depending on your perspective. But also know that in the end, what is disclosed within the light of the Full Moon in Scorpio could also bring healing and understanding. Be open to what you are being shown. Even if it is not necessarily what you had wanted to see or know. Full Moons can serve as mirrors, showing us aspects of ourselves that we usually avoid or ignore. But even in these places the Full Moon can be illuminating. So rather than kick the can down the road, pay attention to what is being revealed. It may be easier and safer to not rock the boat, or to stay with a comfortable lie instead of an uncomfortable truth. But it is when we are willing to go down into the dark places, that we can also begin to heal, grow and evolve. It is always interesting to see what will be revealed during a Full Moon. All the more so with the Full Moon in Scorpio, which declares that nothing is sacred or off limits. And once revealed, you will never quite see things the same way again.

Taurus

(7th House) Full Moons bring things out into the open. These are times of culmination. And never is this more so for Taurus than during the Full Moon in Scorpio. This is also when we see emotions coming to the surface, which could even be a little impulsive or erratic with this Full Moon. These are the sorts of Moons in which people disclose their true feelings, through word or deed. So much so that this is the stuff that can even make or break relationships. For once you see people in their true light, it will be hard to unsee it again. The Scorpio sting can be reckless and insidious. But you won’t be taking this sitting down. Especially if you are already on guard. Any difficulties with others are more likely to be brought out with this sort of Moon. But it can also do the opposite, and show you another side of people that you had not seen before. In this way, Full Moons can also serve as turning points. If your birthday falls on or around the 12th of May, the Full Moon will be most powerful for you. And it may even feel that in order to reap benefits this year, you are first being asked to release and relinquish. Just remember when dealing with other people this week, that it may not be a matter of this or that, or who’s right and who’s wrong. It just may be that you are required to find a different way to approach a situation that will work well for everyone involved.

Gemini

(6th House) As we approach the Full Moon this Monday you will find so many feelings coming to the surface. You may discount these. They may seem illogical and unfounded. Your logical mind will try to rationalize all those feelings and urges. But then along comes the Full Moon in Scorpio, a moon of profundity. And that which you may have previously been skeptical about, can no longer be avoided or denied. And as a result, you may never see things quite the same way again. Full Moons bring things to the surface along with all those feelings. They are revealing. They bring things to a conclusion. And they can be illuminating. Perhaps even in a way that can blow your mind. Also know that once you see something, it will be very difficult to look away or let it go. The Full Moon can also shed light on any changes in your everyday life. This is when you can see the results or ramifications of recent changes. If you like the results that you are seeing or experiencing, then you will want to double down. If not, then this is when you might look for ways to change course and/or make some adjustments.

Cancer

(5th House) Full Moons are emotional. They can be cathartic and bring things out into the open. Things that you had been holding on to, and perhaps keeping to yourself. This is when all that stuff has the capacity to bubble up to the surface. Or even explode. Scorpio is a sign that is somewhat volcanic, and emotions that have been simmering and percolating beneath the surface can be suddenly revealed with this Moon. All the more so because it opposes radical and impulsive Uranus. And sometimes in sudden and unexpected ways. Be prepared to have feelings emerge. Even buried feelings, or feelings that you had previously denied, or that you were afraid to share. It is difficult to contain even the best kept secrets during a Full Moon. This could also be about wanting to know how other people are feeling. Particularly in relationships. There could be the sudden desire to make a proclamation, to want to know how people really feel, to learn more about your loved ones and their lives. Don’t fear it. Embrace it. Deeper truths are yearning to be seen. What you are seeing, learning, discovering and coming to understand, can enrich your life. And the same can be said for what others are learning about you.

Leo

(4th House) When the Full Moon falls in Scorpio, as it will this Monday, it could feel as if all of your secrets, all of your hidden feelings, even all of the skeletons you thought safely hidden away, are all being exposed for the world to see. That is the nature of Full Moons: revealing, exposing things, even those things we consider to be sacred and private! They can also bring things to a head. So anything that you’ve been brooding about, or that has been building up behind the scenes, is likely to be brought out, or brought to some sort of conclusion. The other thing that can become evident with this Full Moon are the ways that the balance between your personal life, and your outer life expectations and goals may be outweighing one or the other. This is when we become that much more aware of any unbalances, and the desire to restore some of that balance. In what ways are your personal needs and expectations in your personal life interfering with your ability to fulfill your obligations at work, or making it harder to achieve your goals? Or conversely, in what ways have you been neglecting your personal life in order to get ahead and succeed? Both of these areas of life are important. So finding some sort of balance between them is key.

Virgo

(3rd House) The Full Moon in Scorpio this Monday may find you questioning yourself. All sorts of things can come to light, changing the picture, and giving you permission to also change your mind. We continue to evolve and grow internally, even though the external things in our lives don’t necessarily reflect this. But when we are made aware of this through some event, or something someone says, or what we discover, we can never quite see things the same way again. Full Moons have this way of bringing all that up to the surface and out into the open. And with that come all sorts of things with it: feelings, memories, and even some surprising realizations about yourself and your own perspective. But this is precisely why you are questioning yourself. Be prepared for a change of heart. As a result you might want to wait until after the Full Moon on Monday to make any important decisions or commitments. Also know that if you become inundated with too much information, or feeling brain drain and overload, your only going to feel emotionally and mentally exhausted and overwhelmed. Give yourself some space to take it all in and process first. And then make your decisions later.

Libra

(2nd House) When the Full Moon falls in Scorpio each year, it aims to shine a light on how well you value yourself and what you do, as well as how well you feel valued by others. Because it is in the sign of Scorpio, this may not necessarily be something that you are aware of. There are so many things we take for granted, or get used to because that’s the way it’s always been. So it would not be unusual to be unaware of things that might even be undercutting self-worth or self-esteem. But the Full Moon opposite illuminating Uranus, is like a beacon light shining into the dark corners of your psyche. And what you see in the light of the Full Moon can bring a different sort of awareness. What ideas about yourself, your skills, your talents, are not only untrue, but also preventing you from growing? What self-limiting ideas might you need to release, about abundance, your self-worth and self-esteem? In the natural cycle of reciprocity, there is a need for mutual exchange, where both giving and receiving are allowed to flow. This balance is necessary in order for you to thrive and grow, and the Full Moon has the capacity to show you not only how the cycle may have become imbalanced, but what might be needed to restore it again. It may seem like such a small thing in the end, but small things can make all the difference.

Scorpio

(1st House) The Full Moon on Monday is shining a light on any changes that have recently occurred in your life. Full Moons are times of fruition or culmination, but also have the capacity to objectively look at your life, perhaps in a different way, giving you a  whole new perspective on things. Full Moons are often illuminating, but this one is perhaps even more so due to the presence of the planet Uranus which has been stirring things up in the opposite sign of Taurus, a sign Scorpio associates with partners and the outside world. And as much as they are often about culminations and endings, Full Moons can also serve as turning points. As a result, the Full Moon can indeed be about adjusting to any changes that have recently occurred, but can also be about any changes that you may be thinking about making in the future. And because the Full Moon is invested in all things Scorpio, including yourself, you might want to pay attention to what is coming to light this Monday. The spotlight is on you, and what is being reflected back to you could prove to be both confirming as well as surprising. This Full Moon will be most strongly felt by those Scorpios born between November 13th and the 18th (or have 19-26º of Scorpio Rising), but all Scorpios will be feeling the intensity of this Monday’s Full Moon.

Sagittarius

(12th House) For Sagittarius, Scorpio is that place where you store things away that you would normally prefer not to share, and to keep hidden from view. These can be memories, safely tucked away in the past from whence they came. Or they can be things that were put in a safe place, and then consequently forgotten as they are so well hidden from view. But with the Full Moon in Scorpio, even things that were previously hidden, lost or forgotten have this way of resurfacing. And like ghosts from the past, here they are again. And with them come all of their attendant secrets, feelings, and even failings and their accompanying emotions that you had also thought safely tucked away. But this Moon is particularly revealing, and what you learn also allows you to see these things in a whole new light. In this way, even those things dug up from the darkest recesses of your subconscious mind, even those things emerging from some forgotten moment in time, are not only reminding you of who you once were, but also who you are now, and are capable of becoming in the future. Endings always pave the way for new beginnings, and the past can lend deeper meaning to, and help to define and explain the present.

Capricorn

(11th House) By the end of next week, your ruling planet, Saturn, will be in the very last degree of the last sign of the zodiac. And as it does so it could feel like the end of an era. On May 24th, Saturn will then enter the sign of Aries, a sign of new beginnings. The proceedings are still cast under a veil, so we as yet do not see the full picture or the ramifications of this shift. However, the Full Moon this Monday could shed a little bit of light on the proceedings. Full Moons are often revealing. They bring some things to closure, even as so many things are coming to the surface that you may not have even seen coming or realized until now. And what comes to light, might even change the bigger picture. Even small changes can bring an element of freedom and release with the Full Moon this year. If that is the case, totally embrace it. For it could be that you are being freed up for better things to come, even if it does not appear to be so at first. The twists and turns that the Full Moon are revealing, may just be conspiring to bring you precisely where you need to be in order to see the fulfillment of your hopes and wishes for the future. We’ll speak more to that Saturn entering Aries over the next few weeks.

Aquarius

(10th House) Many people are feeing like we are approaching the end of an era, even as another one seems to be emerging. We feel this either with trepidation or excitement, and maybe a little of both. Even as we can not yet see what that new era will contain. In the mean time pay attention to what is being revealed in the light of the Full Moon this Monday. Full Moons are often illuminating. And this one may be even more so as it is opposing your modern ruling planet Uranus. Like a bright light shining on your life, you may even feel like you are being seen in ways that you are not accustomed to. Full Moons are also times of culmination, bringing you the results of decisions and actions made in the past. If you are receiving rewards then this will serve as confirmation that you made the right choices. Full Moons can also show us the consequences of our decisions. But either way, you are being given some sort of vantage point, where you are not only being shown what has brought you to this point, but can also help you to get a glimpse of what the path going forward could possibly look like.

Pisces

(9th House) Many people are feeling as if they are at a crossroads in their lives. Perhaps even more so for Pisces. We will discuss this more next week, but with Jupiter at the bending of the Nodes it can feel as if you are standing between the past and the future. In the mean time pay attention to what is being revealed in the light of the Full Moon this Monday. Full Moons are often revealing. They can bring things to a head or to some sort of conclusion. But this one could also be a little surprising, and maybe catch you off guard. And it could be that what you discover could even have the ability to change what you had previously believed to be true. The Full Moon in Scorpio has this way of revealing secrets, exposing untruths, and bringing things out into the open that had previously been hidden. And as a result of what you are hearing, seeing, or understanding you can never quite see things the same way again. If you feel as if your beliefs are being challenged, know that these may be simply challenging you to become more informed. If an idea or belief is sound, it will be able to stand up against any sort of revelation, and even the most rigorous of arguments or challenges.
