For the week of September 27th thru October 4th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Ever since Chiron entered your sign last year, Aries has become much more aware of where their boundaries have become compromised. This can happen when you are wanting to accommodate others, or not rock the boat too much. And certainly in order to get along with others, you are going to have to make some compromises. But perhaps what you might want to explore with this New Moon, is where and how you may have compromised a little too much. We can get so lost in pleasing others that we forget about our own self-care. So when you ask what you might need in order to restore the balance in your life, you may also want to ask yourself if you have been denying yourself the very things that you love most. A good intention for you to make with this Moon is to focus and reflect on those people, situations and things that resonate most with your heart’s desires. For that is what you are going to be needing the most right now. It’s time to get your Aries back.
If there have been any recent or imminent changes, it’s now time to get back to some sort of normal routine. The sooner the better. It’s all about reestablishing greater balance and harmony in your life in order to then restore your equilibrium. Moderation is key right now. And that means paying attention to the areas of your life that have become imbalanced. What or where is your energy being drained? And conversely what are those things, people and activities that make you feel whole? When you restore your equilibrium, you also restore your health and well-being. This may require needing to let go of some stuff, just when you most want to hang on. Or having to make some compromises just when you least want to. Stepping back in order to restore your equilibrium may prove to be the best thing ever in the end, allowing you to then invest your time and energy on things that are much more worthwhile.
With a discriminating eye, it will soon become apparent to you what is or is not working, and you won’t hesitate to let people know. A new dawn is rising with the New Moon. For Gemini, the Libra New Moon is about reconnecting with those people, activities and things that bring you joy and make your heart sing. What might you want to adjust and/or change in order to get more laughter and happiness in your life? There may be an opportunity to celebrate this week. But there are also some hard truths that also have to be faced, and these cannot be ignored. Once you see something, you’re not going to be able to unsee it again. And it is likely that you are going to be relentless: not resting till you’ve transformed an unhealthy situation into a better, more sustainable and reliable situation. It’s all about turning those lemons into lemonade, and even maybe making a profit while doing so.
The New Moon in Libra this week is a reminder for Cancer to place your focus back on the hearth and home. Libra is a sign of harmony, balance and serenity, so you may want to find ways to make your living environment more beautiful and peaceful. The key here is about reducing stress. But in order to do that sometimes you have to create a little commotion. If you’ve been under any undue pressure, honestly, this is a good time to make the commitment to find a way out. There is no greater relief than when we are able to find closure to a painful situation. In this case, endings are a good thing. Especially if it opens the way to make a new and better beginning later on. As with all renovations in our lives: sometimes you have to make a lot of noise and raise a little dust. But afterwards you get to rebuild things the way you really want them to.
At this time of year, Leo is being asked to take notice of their environment and what is going on there. Like the royal head of your domain it is time to take an inventory of the lay of the land: whether that means strolling through the neighborhood, getting the low-down from the neighbors, or attending a local gathering to beautify the neighborhood. It’s about getting your bearings and making connections. It’s also how you feel about all that: your neighbors, your environment, and the way you relate to everyone in it. You may find your curiosity increasing, and wanting to learn more and connect more. One thing that may come through with this New Moon this week, is about learning how to accept people for who they are and where they are. Doing so can drop some of the more obvious boundaries that divide, and allow deeper and more meaningful connections to be made.
You probably have already made some new initiatives over the past month. The question now is can you make them work? And do you have all of your priorities in place? It is time for Virgo to ask themselves: what are those things, people and activities that they wish to spend their precious time, money and resources on? What are those things that fill your heart with joy? And as you sift through the various priorities in your life, you just may surprise yourself, as to what you want to invest in, and what needs to go. Look at what is feeding your soul, as opposed to draining it, and begin there. One of the things many people are going to be thinking about for the month ahead is what we need to divest ourselves of in order to get our lives back in alignment with our true path and destiny.
There is a New Moon in Libra on Saturday. This Moon will be most relevant for those Librans born between the 25th of September and the 1st of October, or have 2-8º of Libra Rising, however all Librans will resonate with this Moon. This Lunar month is about making new beginnings. Whatever you’ve been ruminating about, whatever you’ve been planning is now being given the green light. You’ve been revving up the engines, and soon you’ll be ready to launch. There is a certain joyous reverence in just thinking about it. The Libra New Moon is a prime time to restore the balance in our lives. This is especially important to Libra. But in exploring where and how you’ve been negotiating the various responsibilities in your life, one thing to also pay attention to is that you are not going to be of any use to anyone if you don’t take care of yourself first. In the midst of conflicting obligations, duties and commitments, make sure that your own well-being is at the top of the list.
Although New Moons are about new beginnings, you could find yourself reflecting on what once was, with this Moon. This is because this Moon for you is really about wrapping things up. You will be making some sort of new beginning over the next few months, at which point you will be focusing on what it will take in order to gain greater control over your destiny. But first you have to prepare the ground. For it is likely that a few changes will first need to take place. And this includes doing a bit of clearing out first. This is a good month to divest yourself of any excess baggage. This can be literal or figurative. This can include cleaning out the closets and drawers; unpacking and repacking; repurposing and repairing. But it is also important to take some time for quiet reflection to do some inner clearing and letting go. See what you can do to restore some peace and tranquility in your life. Regaining this inner poise now will serve you well into the future when you will need it.
There may be more than one Sagittarius planning a celebration or two this week. Even if you don’t have anything particularly planned, you may want to get out your fancy shoes any way. Sagittarius really does not need an excuse to party. A Venus/Jupiter sextile this week can bring good tidings, a little extra pocket money, and good cheer. It can also remind you who and what brings you joy and happiness. And if you don’t have enough of that (laughter, singing and joy), what changes might you want to make going forward to allow more of that in your life? New Moons are wonderful opportunities to make intentions, and the Libra Moon is a particularly potent wishing Moon for Sagittarius, as it aims to connect you with your hopes, wishes and aspirations. Perhaps one of the first intentions to put on your wish list is to remind yourself how much you deserve to have some more of that joy and laughter in your life.
The New Moon in Libra is always super important for Capricorn, as it aims to get you realigned with your goals and hopes for the future. Take advantage of opportunities to promote yourself, your reputation or even your career. That includes opportunities to develop any talents or skills, or to make the right connections. A good intention for Capricorn with this New Moon might be: I want to see myself devoted to fulfilling my dreams and achieving my goals. Pluto is also stationing in your sign this week, asking you once again to think in terms of taking control over the destiny of your life. Pay particular attention to any major decisions made last April, for you are likely to see the consequences of those decisions now. Then look at where you might want to make adjustments in order to make sure that you are on track. Whenever we are being asked to work with Pluto I think of the quote by Marianne Williamson: Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. In some way you are being asked to own that power, in order to build something wonderful.
The Libra New Moon encourages Aquarius to broaden your horizons and your expectations. This can be as simple as changing your point of view about something. Or it may be doing what is necessary to open up some opportunities in the future. This may mean resolving a dispute; restoring your confidence; or it may be about releasing any preconceived notions that are preventing you from growing. A good thing to ask at this time of year is: How can I be better prepared for the future? What more do I need to know? With all of the deep psychological Pluto energy this month, you might also want to ask yourself, what is standing in the way of your further growth? What is holding you back or undermining your confidence and your energy? Aquarians need to get back some of their old determination and zest, and doing some of this inner work may be just what you will need to get you back on track.
Usually the Libra Moon is a really good time to deepen commitments to others. Whether that means signing a contract, making an agreement, or freeing yourself up from distractions that are preventing deeper closeness. However, the Libra Moon can also be about freeing yourself up from commitments that are no longer serving you, or that are holding you back. It could become evident what needs to end in order to bring you greater benefit later on. And it is also a good Moon time of the year to conquer any fears or habits that are holding you back and preventing you from growing. This is also, from a practical standpoint, a good time to create some sort of plan for the future: taking out insurance, paying off debt, or looking at better ways to market yourself or what you do. This is totally in alignment with the Pluto energy that is wending its way through the Lunar Month ahead. A good intention for this Moon might be: May I make the best choices and changes that will bring greater balance and clarity into my life.
