For the week of July 5th thru the 12th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries is not known for their patience. Even those Aries people who have gads of Taurus or Libra are going to be tested to keep their cool this week. And there may be times when it is necessary to speak up. Just weigh your words and be aware of how they will be received; and avoid impulsive decisions or actions that will prove to be regrettable. Filled with all sorts of creative ideas and plans, you’re ready to march right in there and take care of business. Just be warned that with Mercury now stationing for its retrograde phase, what might seem like a really good idea, will have its faults revealed later on when Mercury will be direct again. So pace yourself, and be clear about what the ramifications will be of decisions made out of impatience or impulse. On the other hand, if changes have already been made, this may be a month of adjusting to those changes, which could feel a bit like a roller coaster ride with a lot of twists and turns and new stuff to get used to. Chiron is also stationing retrograde in your sign, reminding you that you won’t be able to accomplish the myriad of plans you have afoot, if you don’t make a point of also taking care of yourself: physically, mentally and emotionally. Aries has a tendency to ignore those things. You can’t right now.
Seek familiarity in close friends, neighbors and relatives who bring you a sense of security and belonging. Not cultivating that closeness, or a painful experience will make you aware of what is sorely missing this week. If that is the case, do circle the wagons in order to mend an ailing heart. Family reunions and get-togethers can be helpful in this regard, but they can also bring up some of those old wounds. Therefore the need to seek out your most reliable support people is imperative. But also be open to new connections and possibilities that can also be cultivated this week. This could be unexpected so you may not pay it any mind. You never know what can come in if you dare to try something new, or change up your schedule: a new friend, a new interest. Do keep your loved ones close, but also dare to step outside of your accustomed routine in order to make the most of these days.
Your ruling planet, Mercury, is stalling for its retrograde station this week, as it will soon appear to us to be reversing its journey. And as it does so, it will also bring us opportunities for reflection and reassessment. Many will be reconsidering the changes that are necessary in their lives during this period. This will be especially so this coming week. However, there is a bit of caution here not to jump in too fast, and create more problems than you already have. Adjust to whatever changes are already there, but make sure that you have all the information that you have to make any important plans or decisions. Otherwise you’ll just have to revise again later on. Likewise, good idea to breathe and reflect before speaking. There may be times when it is necessary to be assertive, and defend your position. But Mercury under the influence of Mars this week, could have us all blurting things out at the wrong time in the wrong place. Patience and flexibility are hugely necessary this week to avoid making any time-consuming mistakes.
The periods between the eclipses can be both overwhelming and exhausting at the same time. So it might be wise to find time for yourself. Even if it appears that you are avoiding certain people or being asocial. Sometimes people need to go into retreat in order to find themselves again. This is especially true if others have been making unreasonable demands of you. If you need to surround yourself with people, find those who you know you can depend to be there for you and do support you unconditionally. Seek familiarity and security, and those things that remind you of home and family this week, for that is where the heart lies. If unable to do so, seek some down time somewhere quiet, where you can also reflect. It is time to reassess who and what are truly the most important in your life, and aim to focus on them.
Instead of focusing on what appears to be the negative right now, or what you don’t have control over, focus on the positive experiences that are opening up this week. It could feel like you are being cut out or stuck out on your own isolated island away from others. Or that extra demands are being made of you preventing you from doing what you want to do. Realize that this is probably only temporary. By taking the higher road and seeing what will actually benefit the greater good, allows you to step back, and see things more objectively. Sometimes it is helpful to get away, or remove yourself, in order to feed soul and spirit. And if you cannot get away, find a way to feed spirit in other ways: walk in nature, meditate, anything that brings peace and solace for you. Mercury is stationing this week in early Leo which is often a period of reflection, reminiscence and reconnecting with yourself. Welcome these periods of peace that will allow you to do so.
Your ruling planet will be standing still this week as it stations for its retrograde phase. This will hopefully bring some opportunities for serious retreat and reflection over the next few weeks. There can also be some elements of impatience as well, especially this first week of the retrograde phase. It is wise therefore not to rush into things too quickly without making sure you have all the information you need. This is a good time to reassess what is or is not working and to be open to creative alternatives. Just realize that there may still be a few twists and turns ahead before all is said and done. And the impulsive nature of the current transits could lead to some regrettable mistakes. Be open, but also be circumspect. Often what seems like an incredible idea will have its faults revealed when Mercury is direct again later on. Plans may be tweaked only to be retweaked again later.
It is important to cultivate good relations in order to promote yourself in a positive light, but there are also times to set appropriate boundaries as needed. Not only Mercury, but Chiron will station retrograde this week reminding you of the necessity for establishing appropriate boundaries with others. What you don’t want to do is create co-dependent situations which can be exhausting at best, and even smotheringly icky if it goes too far. The Libra tendency to want to accommodate others can lead you into treacherous waters. Self-awareness is key. Know when it is okay (and even necessary) to say No. In the mean time this is your season to reassess your status and position in the world at large, which can be both dreadful and exciting at the same time. There are plenty of reasons to be excited as you see possibilities unfolding. But also be aware of the Mercury retrograde period so as not to make impulsive decisions that you might later regret. There are changes afoot that will need to be accommodated for, but do take things one day at a time.
Thor’s Hammer escorts you into the week, as you struggle to make sense of what appears to be the insensible. There are certain things that you would prefer to be true and valid, but those things that you were previously merely tolerating can no longer be ignored leaving you questioning the status quo. Because of your position, you may be able to take command of the situation. However, do so with a great deal of tact. Mercury is now stationing for its retrograde phase, which can lead comments to be easily misconstrued and misinterpreted. Be vigilant, but sparing of words this week. Also, be prepared for some sudden and unexpected changes in plans. It may seem that others are going through all sorts of changes, which will test your patience. But due to the unpredictability of the weather, it is best not to push things or light any additional fires, if it can at all be helped. We’re heading into a potentially explosive period from the 7th thru the 15th: therefore avoid confrontations, and take your time, before leaping into anything, or making assumptions. Things are just moving way too fast here, and you will want to make sure you are fully informed first.
There seem to be a number of changes in the air, that might take a bit of time getting used to. So if it feels like there is a bit of commotion, look for some opportunities to slow down and take your time before having to make any major decisions. Things are just moving very quickly, and it will be all you can do to not want to just wrap everything up. There is also going to be a lot of contention. Best not to light any additional fires or allow yourself to get drawn into potentially explosive arguments. Things are just too unpredictable this week. However, the added energy could be channeled to tie up any loose ends that are required of you before August. By next month you will see that things are finally coming together and allowing you to move forward with certain plans. But for now, there may be more than a few adjustments still needing to be made first.
Work, obligations, responsibilities may find you conflicted between what you know you have to do, and what you would much rather be doing. You may become aware of where your work or other obligations may be interfering with partnerships, family or personal life. Both areas of your life are important, and being able to establish some sort of balance is key. This may become more apparent this week, as it becomes evident where you may need to make some adjustments. If not for your own sake, but for everyone concerned. Mercury is stationing retrograde this week, which is always a good time to reassess what is or is not working in your life. There is also a warning here not to make any impulsive decisions about things, because it may be that you don’t have all the information you need to be able to see the ramifications. Therefore pace yourself, and avoid jumping to conclusions about anything.
Could be feeling overwhelmed in the cross-hairs of the two eclipses. At these times we often feel like we are both overwhelmed with information, while also not getting or having all the information we need in order to be able to make clear decisions. And now Mercury is stationing for its retrograde phase. Realize that communications are likely to be fraught any way when Mercury is retrograde, but that this particular period, especially the coming weeks, could be littered with contention, and maybe even some unwelcome confrontations. Everyone is going to be a little on edge, as there are bound to be some changes going on this month. All the more reason to take your time, not make any assumptions, and think things through clearly before making any major decisions. Use the energy to make the changes that need to be made; but avoid getting drawn into any unnecessary drama that will only prove to be a distraction or lead to regrettable words or actions. Focus on what is in front of you. You have enough on your plate as it is.
There appear to be a number of contentious transits going on this month, which may or may not involve you directly. All the more reason for you to align yourself with a rather low-key but important Sun/Neptune trine this week. The Sun is shining a light on the need for you to connect with those things, and perhaps those people that bring you the most meaning in your life. In some way your heart is being opened up to something greater. And if it isn’t, seek opportunities to do so. This can be done by immersing yourself in nature, through art, or surrounding yourself in beauty, or by doing good works that will benefit the greater good. This is always a good way to enter a Mercury retrograde phase any way. At first you may find yourself scrambling about trying to get things in order. But that commotion could prove distracting to your need for this inner connection that is being asked of you. So even if you do find yourself rather busy with projects, make time for that inner connection. It will buoy you through any potential contention and craziness going on in the world.
