For the week of May 17th thru the 24th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
There are some opportunities to heal any rifts or wounds this coming week. One way to approach this is recognizing that you don’t have to keep doing things the way you have in the past. That there are opportunities to look at situations from a whole new perspective. One thing to remember, is that you are not going to be much good to anyone else, if you don’t remember to take care of yourself. Self-care is not selfish, especially if there are others who are dependent on you. If you have not been taking care of yourself, you will only find resentment and anger simmering and roiling inside. Rather than create some sort of explosive event that will not end well, look for those promising alternatives. Today you will have the courage to try a new way of doing things, and step out of your usual go-to reactions and responses. You will be pleasantly surprised (or maybe not) by the responses.
Many a Taurus is standing on a precipice of change and anticipation. And just in case you were wondering why you were doing this to yourself, Venus comes along to remind you. Returned to her home sign of Taurus, she aims to restore confidence in those things which are most meaningful and sustainable for you. She wants to remind you of your priorities. But she is also here to remind you that there can be better ways of achieving your priorities. Therefore, dare to step outside of your accustomed routine this weekend in order to make the most of these days. Even small changes in your routine can open your awareness and perspective up to new possibilities that you might not have thought of before. In some ways your life is daring to get that much more interesting. The Full Moon over the weekend also serves to bring things out into the open. This Moon will be particularly felt by those Taureans born near the end of the sign, or who have the later degrees of Taurus rising. But it could be rife with stark realizations and encounters with others, that could lead you to question some of your current plans and ideas. It will be interesting to see what comes out in the light of the Full Moon this weekend.
A well grounded trine over the weekend will help you to organize and focus before the week takes off. This will be particularly helpful, especially if you are needing to solve a problem, or tend to any activity that requires focus and depth. After that it may be more difficult to do so, as we enter your season on the 21st with with a bit of a lofty breeze picking up the tempo. Your ruling planet, Mercury, enters its own sign of Gemini with the Sun on the 21st. This is particularly pertinent to Gemini, as it could feel like a new start with a bit of momentum. Therefore aim to put your best foot forward. The superior conjunction of Mercury on Tuesday, allows us all to see objectively what brought us to this place, and where we wish to go from here. That perspective can bring a fresh incentive to finally put some ideas and plans into application, that had previously been merely brewing on the back burner.
The Full Moon in Scorpio is bringing a lot of things into relief. Although often emotional times of the month, Full Moons also allow things to be brought out into the open that had previously been hidden or repressed. But perhaps the most important effect of this Full Moon is coming to understand the consequences of previous events and the impact they have on your life. One thing that may become apparent right now, are that if you wish to improve your life and circumstances, much will depend on you and your own actions. Boundaries with others are being redefined, and until these are clarified you are not going to be able to depend on others to hold up their part of the bargain. They are going through their own thing, and needing to make their own decisions. As are you. As the week wears on, best to avoid doing or saying things out of anger. That will only end up opening a whole new can of worms that you didn’t even know existed. Focus on your goal: if a rift, or your heart, or your body needs to be healed, focus on that, without complications.
Many a Leo, especially late Leo’s, are going to feel this emotional Full Moon this weekend. It brings all sorts of feelings to the surface, where you are then better able to tend to them. On the 21st, the Sun, your ruling orb, enters the sign of Gemini in tandem with fleeting Mercury. This is often a positive time of year for Leo, where you all are more in touch with your hopes and aspirations, and what you need to do to realign yourself with these. There could be a little restlessness with the shift to Gemini season, as you are more inclined to want to engage others, go places or do things in the company of others. This could also propel you into a whirlwind of busy-ness and activity. If at times you feel overwhelmed, just remind yourself to focus on one thing at a time, one day at a time. You’ve got this. And you’ve also got the support to follow through. More than you think you do.
A very grounding trine over the weekend could help you to research, strategize and focus. This will be very helpful, for once your ruling planet, Mercury, enters Gemini on the 21st, it could feel as if you are coming out of the gate running. Although your mind is sharp and well honed during the weeks that Mercury is in this sign, it does run the risk of becoming scattered and distracted. One advantage is that there is greater clarity and perspective about where you’ve come thus far, and where you wish to go from here. It will feel this week as if conversation and communications abound, and it will be all you can do to absorb all the information. One thing to keep in mind, especially as we approach mid-week, and that is the power of words and language to heal, as opposed to harm. Much depends on not only what you say, but how you say it as well.
Your life is poised on the brink of some sort of change, even if it is only a change in perspective. The awareness and validity of that will become more evident as your ruling planet, Venus, crosses paths with Uranus this weekend, at the same time as the Full Moon. This is the sort of transit that can catch you off guard, but perhaps in a positive way, as you become aware of possibilities that you hadn’t previously considered. One thing that may become evident, is that you don’t necessarily have to keep doing things the way you have in the past. The majority of the week however, will be focused on some sort of critical healing, whether that be physical, mental, or emotional. Whatever rifts have emerged. The motivation is to want to mend and repair what has been broken. Just be cautious, and avoid creating more problems by stifling anger or frustration, or acting out of anger. Put that all aside, and focus on the goal at hand. Motive counts for everything here.
There is a Full Moon in your sign this weekend. Those Scorpio’s who will feel this most strongly, are those born near the end of the sign (Nov. 17th~22nd) or have the late degrees of Scorpio Rising. Full Moons have this way of bringing things out into the open, or to some sort of crisis. Add the depth and emotion of the sign of Scorpio and all sorts of things can come to the surface here. Could be a good time to express your feelings to a loved one, provided you aren’t just being drawn along by the moment. Can also be a good weekend for stepping outside of your usual routine. A willingness to try something new, or take a risk can bring new and exciting experiences that you will be talking about for days to come. The majority of next week should be focused on figuring out the best way to heal any potential or existing wounds or rifts. Put aside disagreements or resentment for now. Holding on to these are only going to create more problems you simply do not need.
When your ruling planet, Jupiter, is retrograde the focus turns inward, where you weigh your true values and priorities. With Jupiter traveling in your sign, this is a year of new beginnings, and expanding your horizons. However, there is still a great deal to be taken care of before you can finally proceed. For this week you will find your attention redirected temporarily towards partners and loved ones, as we move into Gemini season. Here in the North Gemini season opens up the transition from Spring to Summer where people spend more time out of doors. Even if you are not up here with us, and the days are getting cooler, dare to go out and spend time with loved ones and partners. You will begin to see the value and joy of sharing ideas and experiences with others and how that can help to enrich your life.
If anyone understands Saturn, it’s Capricorn. That includes the positive as well as the negative self-limiting aspects of the planet. As retrograde Saturn crosses the South Node of the Moon this week, explore the ways that you may be holding yourself back, either through fear or stagnation. And that can include things like a fear of success or achievement. Set your goals, but don’t be hell-bound by them. Having goals are essential for Capricorn. Combined with an uncompromising work ethic and self-integrity, achievement will be yours. Self-discipline, self-respect, and organization are all skills that Capricorn are well known for. As a result, when you cultivate these wonderful qualities, people take notice and remember that you are someone who is reliable and can be counted on to take care of their responsibilities. And that goes a really long way. In the mean time, use this coming weekend to solve a problem or figure out a puzzle. Your ability to focus and pay attention to details will steer you in the right direction.
This is a period in your life for endings in which you appear to be releasing many things from a previous cycle that you have either outgrown, or are no longer relevant for the person you are becoming. It could feel, during the retrograde phase of Saturn that you are having to readdress issues that you thought you had already dealt with. It’s kind of like getting the old smell out of the garlic jar after it’s already been emptied. It’s that last bit that’s holding you back and preventing you from moving on. During this period there could also be people or situations reemerging from the past. This may be because you still have some unfinished business with them, or because they are being realigned with the new phase you are about to be entering. Over the upcoming weekend, be willing to be flexible. Keeping an open mind and the willingness to look at things from another perspective, could prove to be enlightening.
With three of the major planets now retrograde, it can feel as if you are not going anywhere fast. But these retrograde phases of the planets are also deep learning experiences, where we internalize priorities, and get back to our primary values. As we move into Gemini season on Tuesday, we do so with a superior conjunction to Mercury, which is a time in which we can look at our lives in a more objective fashion. It’s as if we can see this magnificent time line, bringing us here to this moment right now, and also allowing us to see where we might want to go from here. This remarkable sense of inner and outer awareness may just spawn any number of conversations and ideas. Now is a time to put the focus inward, in order to better understand your relationship to the world, and the part you want to have in it.
