This week the Sun shines a light on the Saturn/Pluto semi-square, which might compel us to look at the ways that we have become stuck, and what we may want to do about that. This is a critical aspect that will carry us over into the Pluto in Aquarius era, which will include having to face ourselves in the process. And that’s not always easy.

This is a fiery and perhaps tempestuous Full Moon creating a Grand Cross with Chiron, Mars and the dark lord Pluto which is stationing on October 11th. We are in a state of transition as Pluto comes to station for its direct phase. This is because Pluto is poised to make its way through the very last degree of the sign of Capricorn, and in doing so, bring about the end of an era. 

Whenever Jupiter stations, it does so with a trine from the Sun, instilling hope and promise for the future to come.  Jupiter aims to expand our vision. To think higher, larger, vaster in our scope. With that trine comes the hope and promise of fulfilling our potential. 

New moons are about new beginnings, as are Solar Eclipses. A South Node attending Solar Eclipse, such as the Eclipse on October 2nd, is still very much about beginnings, but the sorts of beginnings that are predicated on endings, or perhaps a need to tie up some issues from the past. This is an edgy eclipse due to its square to Mars in Cancer, and alliances are likely to shift as tempers rise. Strap on your seat belts everyone… this could be a bit of a bumpy ride.

As we stand here in the balance with the Libra Equinox, embrace the emerging darkness, by embracing the Winter Crone, the goddess of the winter months. In ancient times the wise Crones served as the story tellers, the teachers, the healers and  guides who led the way. May we also come to know our own inner Crone, so that she can guide us and lead our way through any time of uncertainty and doubt that may lie ahead. 

On Tuesday September 17th (or Wednesday, depending on where you are in the world) we have our Harvest Moon which is also a Super Moon, as well as a partial Lunar Eclipse. Welcome to Eclipse season. On August 28th, Mercury will make its direct station, ending its retrograde phase. And thankfully so. This will allow us to pick up the pieces of our lives that became scattered in the wake of the Full Moon (and all of those crazy Uranian squares!) Even this week, as the Moon is now waning, and Mercury slows for its station, you will find yourself gradually readjusting to your regularly scheduled programming.

On Monday, August 19th, we have a Super Full Moon at 27º of Aquarius. Full Moons are illuminating, and revealing. But this one might be even more so. With an exact square to unpredictable Uranus, and another square between Jupiter and Saturn, there is a lot more to this Full Moon than meets the eye.
