Pluto is in the very last degree and minute of Capricorn this week, as it is being positioned to make its grand entrance into Aquarius on the 20th. In the mean time, the Jupiter/Saturn sextile is receiving a lot of assistance from strategic and practical planets transiting Capricorn, to lay the foundation for some sort of road map for the future. Clarity returns to allow us to do so. 

There is still an air of uncertainty hanging over the proceedings as we begin this week. Mercury makes the last of its squares to unfathomable Neptune on Monday. But be prepared for when the fog lifts and greater clarity resumes with the New Moon in Capricorn on January 11th. Get out your planners. With the New Moon in Capricorn, we’ll finally be able to plot our course. 

This year, Jupiter, the planet of grand expectations will station direct by New Year’s Eve, ending its retrograde phase. LIkewise, Mercury will station direct on New Year’s Day, also ending its retrograde phase. On Tuesday we have the Full Moon just one day after Christmas. Traditionally a very emotional Moon, the Christmas Moon may help to shed some clarity on a situation in our lives. And this is despite the feeling that we can’t even see our hand in front of our face, nor see a way forward through the fog of our lives.

In Winter time, as we are having here in the Northern Hemisphere, the potential of life still lies dormant within the earth, waiting for the return of the light to invigorate it once again. So too, in our own lives it is meant to be a time of rest and contemplation. This is our own version of hibernation and withdrawal, where we seek our own potential within. Less than one day after the New Moon in Sagittarius on December 12th, Mercury stations for its retrograde phase which lasts until New Year’s Day. It may seem that Mercury is holding us back, keeping us from moving forward with our plans. But that is not actually true. In fact, Mercury’s retrograde phase may in fact be something of an advantage. And any delays or detours may also turn out to be fortuitous in the end.

We have a Full Moon in the busy (and perhaps a little noisy and distracting) sign of Gemini on Monday, November 27th (or 26th, depending on where you are in the world). But do also watch out for some obstacles, detours and limitations. 

The Sun and Mars which have been raising so much mayhem and ire (and perhaps a few surprises) this past week, are perfecting their conjunction this week when Mars enters the throne room of our liege lord the Sun. It is hard to ignore the cries of a world enmeshed in the chaos of change. The New Moon in Scorpio on November 13th, conjunct Mars and opposing radical Uranus can be volatile and unpredictable, but it can also present us with opportunities for positive change and reform.
