Welcome in the Solstice this weekend. One of the sacred 4 corners of the Solar Year. Mercury will station direct on the 22nd, and there is a Full Moon on the 24th, but it is the retrograde station of Jupiter that needs to be paid attention to this week, for each year these 4 month long retrograde periods of Jupiter are essential for our spiritual and moral growth.

Not only have we just navigated two eclipses, and not only is Mercury in the throes of its retrograde phase, but then on Monday we have the 2nd of 3 squares this year between Saturn and Uranus, the prevailing transit of 2021; caught between duty, responsibility, limitation & familiarity vs. freedom & a need for autonomy & change.

On June 10th we have an Annular (ring of Fire) Solar Eclipse in Gemini. Conjoined by retrograde Mercury in the heart of the Sun and the Moon, the eclipse also marks the beginning of the next Mercury cycle. But tied up with the Eclipse in this way, we are needing to see how this will all unfold, trusting our hearts, our conscience and our inner guides to bring us where we need to go.

Mercury stations Retrograde right in the middle of Eclipse Season this weekend, just a few degrees away from the Solar Eclipse on June 10th. Throw in a close square to Neptune, and clarity may prove to be at a premium these days.

We have a Total Lunar Eclipse which also happens to be a Super Moon on Wednesday, May 26th. Also this week, Saturn stations Retrograde on May 23rd. Welcome to Eclipse season.

On Thursday/Friday, May 13th/14th, Jupiter entered its own domain of Pisces. It will remain here through the end of July, retrograde back to Aquarius, and then re-enter Pisces again at the end of the year. Jupiter takes on the role of intuitive, pathfinder, counsel and teacher while traveling here. Strong in its own sign, it brings beneficence and abundance where he falls in our charts.

The New Moon in Taurus is a gentle and beneficent New Moon, yet also compellingly effective for seeding new intentions, and promoting new initiatives. Do not underestimate this Moon that gracefully ushers us into Eclipse season. The month of May this year is deceptively calm at its beguiling near shore, but potentially tempestuous as we dive deeper into the latter part of the month.

Happy Beltane! Along with the usual celebration of the renewal of the Spring Time season here in the Northern Hemisphere, we are also addressing the necessity for world wide systemic change. This is now a more potent time of transition due to Uranus transiting through the sign of Taurus. This week the Sun in Taurus will enter into the degrees of the Saturn in Aquarius/Uranus in Taurus square, asking us all to consider our relationship, or our resistance, to change.

The Full Moon in Scorpio on April 26th (or the 27th, depending on where you are located), is a Super Moon, meaning that it will appear a little larger and therefore more spectacular than usual. When you look at all of the conditions surrounding this Full Moon, there’s no telling what secrets are going to be exposed and/or revealed.

Each year we look longingly and with anticipation to the verdant quietude of Taurus season, which currently taunts us by lurking just around the corner. However, for the past so many years Taurus has had a rather unruly house guest rearranging all the furniture and unceremoniously upending our lives these past so many years. And he’s not planning on leaving any time soon.
