For the week of March 2nd thru the 9th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries does not wear the mantle of the victim well. You don’t know how to seethe quietly in corners. So it should come as something of a relief to have Mercury and Venus emerging out of the shadows of Pisces and into Aries on Tuesday. This heralds in a time for frank talk, for verve and a great deal of courage. There’s a good chance that you’ve had a lot on your mind. Now is your opportunity to say it out loud. Not only are Mercury/Venus entering your sign this week, but your ruling planet, Mars, is coming out of the shadows of Neptune as well, and moving into the liberating aura of alternative and invigorating Uranus. This is thrilling and adventurous weather, laced with a sense of daring and just enough excitement, to channel your inner wild child.
When you speak from the heart, kindred spirits can reach a place where both heart and soul can meet. It’s the same as when all the instruments in the orchestra are in tune and playing the same music. This can be a source of great joy, even in the face of despair and when everyone is awash in sensitivity. There are opportunities here to mend hearts and minds this weekend, healing over any potential divides that may have occurred in the days leading up to the Full Moon. After Tuesday, there will be a shift when your ruling planet, Venus, moves into fiery Aries. The temperature is going to be raised a few notches as a result. And depending on how much you may have been bending backwards over the past few weeks, this is when you are going to ask the question: Hey, what about Me?
This is the sort of Full Moon that could easily throw you off course. Distractions, miscommunications, and misunderstandings can exasperate an already tenuous situation. Avoid trying to make sense of the insensible, recognizing that some things just need to be let go. There could also be some really good opportunities to rejoice, mend bridges, and heal over any divides. On Tuesday, your ruling planet Mercury, moves into fiery Aries, but before that it will convene with Venus and Chiron over the weekend. When we meet with the wounded healer in this way, it becomes more apparent as to how important it is to use our words in a skillful manner. Words can both wound and heal. Therefore seek to sow words of kindness and understanding. If we could all do this, then we could create a better world. Words have the power to both destroy and heal. When words are both true and kind, they can change our world. ~ the Buddha
Cancer should always pay attention to the New and Full Moons, for they are your connection to the natural planetary and luminary rhythms of our own Mother Earth. The Full Moon on Thursday was in the sign of Virgo, and is the last Full Moon of the Season. As such it ushers out the last remnants of the previous cycle. It is also a Moon of melancholy, deluges, deep sensitivity and perhaps even forebodings. Allow yourself to ride that wave of feeling and emotion, but don’t allow it to engulf you. Only go as deep as your comfort level allows. Through this veil of emotion and sensitivity, some deep insights can also be had, about truth and kindness and what it takes to mend hearts and souls. Pay attention to some of the themes that arise this week, for they are setting the ground for the next New Moon in mid-March. Some of these could include: what compassion feels like; the advantages of being present; and gaining a deeper understanding.
Full Moons are often enlightening, but they can also be times of culmination and increase. If you have been burning the candle from both ends, you might find your energy and resources feeling depleted and over-drawn. The more you try to control outcomes, the more distracted and frustrated you will feel. It’s time to go with the flow. Emotionally, you may experience emotions or fears arising that may or may not have any explicable cause. We are all being asked to sit with whatever arises out of the depths of this critical Moon. And no matter how frustrating it may be, just let a few things go. Because the weather is a little foggy and inscrutable, it would probably be a good idea to make sure you are seeing things clearly before making any important decisions. What this week is good for: mystical, magical, creative, or imaginative dream work.
The Full Moon on Thursday is in the sign of Virgo, but it is being engulfed by the shifting tides of Pisces and inscrutable Neptune. This could feel like a deluge of emotions and distractions that are hard to pin down, and/or make any sense out of. Don’t even try. It could be an exercise in frustration, kind of like herding cats, or shoveling snow in a blizzard. Wait until after the weekend if you need to make any important decisions, and make sure that you have all your facts straight before you do so. This weather could feel a little murky. Despite all the emotions flowing around, there are also good opportunities to connect with others, and mend any hard feelings. How we use our words this week can carry a great deal of significance, and using our words skillfully and with kindness and understanding, can make all the difference in the world.
The Full Moon is in the sign of Virgo, which is a sign of health and well-being. You might want to ask yourself in which ways you might need to pay attention to your diet, daily routines and habits. With Neptune traveling in Pisces these days, it is easy to either neglect or overlook even the most basic tasks, such as getting enough sleep or eating at the right times. If you are feeling the effects of not paying attention to these basic needs, make it a point to schedule in some quiet, self-care time this week. If you are always putting the needs of others ahead of your own, like an empty vessel, you will get to the point where there is no more to give. What this week is good for: stillness; meditation; self-healing; mind-body exercises; and recognizing the intricate relationship between the mind, the heart and the body.
Jupiter is coming to tentative stand still in Scorpio this week, just as Mercury and Venus are basking in his aura. There are opportunities here to mend bridges, to heal hearts and minds, share thoughts, wisdom and laughter, even in the wake of this inscrutable Full Moon. Usually Full Moons are revealing, but this one feels like a deluge laden with high tides of emotion. Instead of becoming engulfed and unglued, find ways to speak from the heart: tell your loved ones what they mean to you; remind them that they are your life breath and soul. And then let good will win the day, remembering that compassion and kindness are the keys to understanding. People could be a little extra sensitive this week, so remembering that kindness can go a long way.
Your ruling planet, Jupiter, comes to a stand still this week. Oftentimes when this happens, unethical and unfair behaviors seem to become more apparent. However, it is also true at these times, that rather than focusing on what other people are or are not doing, it is time to take the focus from without and turn it within, asking yourself whether or not you are living up to your own moral standards. There is also something key here about kindness and charity. If unkind words created discord and chaos recently, see if you can find opportunities this coming week to build bridges and heal over any rifts that may have been created. It is through this emerging kindness, and a charitable approach to others, that hearts and minds can be healed and mended. Out of the tears of the soul, laughter and joy can once again rebound. Take notice: there is an unexpected bit of adventure waiting just around the corner.
There can be something exasperating about this emotionally laden Full Moon. It will be all you can do to sort out plans, get yourself back on schedule, and find your port in the storm. It is often good advice in such weather, to remember to swim with the tide if you are being pulled away from the shore. So it can be with life. The more you try to control the outcome, the more frustrating some things may feel. This is one of those times when it is helpful to be reminded, that if you can do something about a problem, then do it; and if there is nothing to be done about it, then put it aside. The foggy weather is going to lift after the weekend, and with that will come an increasing ability to be more in control of your environment and outcomes. In the mean time, use the time up until then for quiet reflection, reading a good book, meditation, or watching a good movie.
The Full Moon could leave you with that feeling that all of your resources are dwindling away, like so much water running down the drain. The energy is calm, quiet and asking us to center ourselves, and trying to push beyond that would only add to that feeling of being drained and depleted. If you can pace yourself through the weekend, Aquarius has some unexpected plans emerging in the very near future. Sublimity makes way for excitement. Dare to step outside of your usual ways of doing things. After the weekend try something new, meet new people, or go on a dashing adventure. There is this urge to do something unusual, for there’s no telling what new discoveries await you just around the next corner.
Crying is like a thundershower for the soul. The air feels so wonderful after the rain.. just experience your feelings and know that your tears are announcing change in your life. ~ Bryant McGill. The week begins with a Full Moon awash in a veil of tears and floods, giving way to a sense of hope. With this can come the possibility of being able to men hearts and minds. This will be particularly true if you have experienced any recent disagreements. A flow between the mind and heart allows you to speak directly from the heart, allowing you to connect with others. Therefore use this week to do just that, letting your loved ones know how you feel about them. Build bridges. Bond. Seek out kindred spirits. This is not a time to be alone. There are others out there as well, and we’re all just looking for a little kindness and understanding right now.
