September 28th ~ October 5th

Ooops!
That’s the sort of feeling one gets when we impulsively leap out into the unknown. The sort of feeling some will be having this weekend in the throes of the Full Moon in Aries. As the Libra planets are doing their darnedest to maintain their balance and equilibrium, the Full Moon is super charged with a shot of adrenaline, and dynamic and explosive energy. This is great if you are interested in going off in a whole new direction. Aries is all about breaking free and making a new start. With a few cautions.
Although Full Moon riding shotgun with Uranus is great for doing things ‘differently’, or changing up the routine... what you don’t want to do is go so far out of your comfort zone that you scare yourself to death. Moon/Uranus in Aries is kind of impulsive and daring. It also has a tendency to take on a life of its own. Unexpectedly. And with the square to Pluto, this is the sort of energy that unwittingly could find you in over your head. Pace yourself. Full Moons are well known for excitement, and escalating the energy any way... throw in a little rebellious Uranus and Pluto activity and the doors are wide open for mayhem, and more than enough unexpected excitement.

For those people who have been facing a challenge, this Full Moon could bring things to a head. It can either be a positive breakthrough (and freedom!), or will bring things to a crisis situation that will require some quick and expeditious action. At any rate, due to the unpredictable nature of Uranus, be prepared for Plan B this weekend, for there is a great possibility that plans will need to suddenly change due to circumstances beyond your control. These are the sorts of aspects that you need to ride with dexterity and skill. They do present a lot of potential to initiate much needed changes... when things are in a state of flux, that’s the best time to make adjustments. But the unpredictability (kind of like a lightning storm), will leave us all guessing as to where this one is going to actually touch down. Flexibility is key for this weekend.
It probably doesn’t help that Aries ruler, Mars, is heading for a conjunction with the North Node in Scorpio this week as well, while parting from its square to Venus in Leo. With that kind of passionate intensity, there’s bound to be some ‘hot’ spots and challenges in the world this week. (Especially now that they’ve launched that new venus-square-mars-in-scorpio xxx search engine this past week on the internets... yikes!) People’s emotions, feelings, and desires are all taken up a notch. But another thing this Full Moon energy is good for, is some down home, “Okay, we’ve had enough of this, and I’m not going to take it any more...”, old-fashioned activism.
There is a lot of astrological weather occurring this week: Venus moves into Virgo on Wednesday, next Friday Mercury and Saturn are both moving into Scorpio. And on Thursday, Jupiter will station Retrograde, until the end of January. When Jupiter stations retrograde, as he will this week, this is a time in which some of the outward manifestations of Jupiter energy such as abundance and material success are temporarily put on hold... Not that we should give up... it’s just that things have to be put in place first. In the mean time, Jupiter retrograde times are times of inner exploration of ‘right’ and ‘wrong’. Of questions of ethics and morality, and what is the ‘right thing to do’, in a situation. Combine that with the crazy activist weather over the weekend, and Saturn moving into Scorpio on the 5th, and there will be quite a few old demonstrators dusting off their signs this week, and feeling a little “mad as Hell”. What causes are near and dear to your heart?

If you are in New York, my activist friend RoseAnn informs me, there is an interesting way to celebrate the Aries Full Moon at the Museum of the City of New York. They have a current exhibit on social activism in New York City from the 17th century up to the present.

For the week of September 28th thru October 5th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries
A lot of things that you might not have even considered, are now hitting home. It feels like things are coming to a head, and it all feels so very unfair. It will be hard to take a stand though, because the mood is going to be changing very quickly. And you may impulsively lash out at the wrong person at the wrong time... Pace yourself. Yeah, there is a lot to be pissed off about, but unbridled agitation will just render you to the level of the Tasmanian Devil. See if you can channel some of this atomic energy through supporting a specific cause, rather than randomly raging against the machine. It will be more effective.
Taurus
If you have a special someone to work off some of that Martian passion that’s been lustfully channeled your way, then that’s probably the best way to vent this pressure cooker over the weekend. Otherwise find something meaningful to which you can apply some of that passion, or it could come off as aggravated frustration and angst. By Wednesday, you will feel the temperature cool off rapidly, as Venus enters time-to-get-down-to-business Virgo, only to find that things are not quite what you had previously hoped, and maybe a little messier than you realized. But not to be daunted. It’s just time to take off the rose colored glasses and look for practical solutions. If you are willing to make concessions... things may just be able to be worked out to your advantage.
Gemini
The Full Moon is in Aries, a sign that Gemini associates with friends, groups, as well as goals that you aspire to achieve with the help of others. Unfortunately these apparently radical friends of yours are going to be carrying on willy-nilly this weekend. Perhaps it would be wise to lay low over the weekend till they work it all out amongst themselves. With your ruler, Mercury, currently in Libra, you just might be dragged in as the liaison or mediator... You just may have your hands full. You’re going to be having your own fish to fry by next week. Could be some interesting (if deep) news. In the mean time, try to keep an even keel.
Cancer
If some part of your life has become stale, or you are feeling limited or confined in any way.. you’ll be all too tempted to cast off the bow lines. It will be very difficult to contain this impulsive Uranus in Aries Full Moon! This is crazy, unexpected, all-the-plans-are-changing, what’s-going-to-happen-next? kind of weather. Any challenges that you may have been dealing with are likely to either increase over the weekend, or reach some kind of crisis or breakthrough. Aries is about asserting yourself, and having courage... just make sure it’s not the foolhardy kind. It is good to initiate positive change... provided you are comfortable with it, and don’t feel like it is being forcefully thrust upon you. Pace yourself. Passions are running high.
Leo
Some people can be pretty cantankerous. In fact, some can be down right rude. Chances are they are just trying to bait you. Your best bet is to not go for it. That’s a pretty nasty looking hook hidden in that worm they’re dangling. And you don’t want to be walking into any uncomfortable situations. Go with caution. What does become apparent.. cranky people or not, bad drivers or not, is that you just might have to do an about face, or change your plans, in the light of what transpires or is revealed this weekend. It’s all about being flexible, and trying to restore the balance.
Virgo
Yes, its time to make a new commitment. Just don’t go throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Things are a little too unpredictable, especially financially, to make definite commitments just yet. Why don’t you let the dust settle a little so that you can really see the lie of the land. Right now it’s all you can do to keep things on an even keel. And although things look kind of negative going towards the end of the week, it’s actually that dose of reality that will allow you to make your dreams a little bit more reachable.
Libra
If you have been rolling with the punches, and recognizing where and when you were supposed to make changes... then this Full Moon may be erratic and hectic, but you’ll probably be able to roll with the punches. However, if you’ve been resisting the necessity to make changes in your life, then this Full Moon will only stress that necessity, and may even make you feel like you are being forced to jump through hoops and adjust to unwanted changes. With Venus in the last degrees of Leo, you’re probably going to want to hold on, even despite any financial challenges. However, as your ruler, Venus, moves into Virgo on Wednesday, your first inclination will be to bid a hasty retreat, to escape. It will be the siren call to reality that will keep you focused on the here and now. The ashram sounds great, but the bills are still going to need to be paid.
Scorpio
As your ruler, Mars, approaches the North Node this week, and Saturn is about to enter your sign, there is almost a feeling as if you are being called to fulfill your destiny. You’ve been tying up a lot of loose ends behind the scenes, researching, investigating. Pretty soon you’re going to be in a position to make an official new start in your life. If you haven’t been, you will be over the next few years. Meanwhile, as Mars joins the North Node it is nothing less than the willingness to embrace perhaps even transformational ideas, as the old and outworn is burning away, allowing a new life, to be reborn out of the ashes that remain. It is the willingness to end, in order to begin again anew.
Sagittarius
What with all the commotion that is going on in your life, trying to adjust to changes with children, or with the fulfillment of your hopes and dreams for the future, it is Jupiter’s station that is really much more relevant in the long term. As Jupiter comes to station, you may decide to reconsider a decision that you have already made. You stand at a crossroads trying to decide which is more important, material gratification and success, or seeking a more spiritual, meaningful path. Ultimately, it’s about doing the right thing. And sometimes that means having to make hard decisions.
Capricorn
It seems that there is one surprise after another. And Capricorn hates surprises. You like things to be well ordered and behaving the way they’re supposed to. And lately people and things and situations have not been behaving at all correctly. Just wait for the Full Moon this weekend. If your Sun or Ascendant are any where near the degree of this Moon, you won’t know whether you are coming or going. However, if you have been hoping to implement changes, this is one of the easier times to do so. This is because everything is already a little fluid, and unstable, and all it needs is a little push. Ooops. I didn’t tell you to push that hard. Try to keep your changes manageable and what you know you can live with for the long haul. Things are going to quiet down by week’s end when lovely Venus comes to call.
Aquarius
If you’re looking for a quiet weekend with few distractions, that might be a stretch with this Full Moon dancing around with Uranus in your neck of the woods. Expect plans to change. Expect the neighbors to be loud and crazy, and making all sorts of commotion. Expect plans to change, trains to not run, accidents to detour you... in other words, expect the unexpected. The key is to be flexible and willing to roll with the punches. And if anyone tries to bait you into an argument... don’t engage. You may just say something that you will later regret. On the other hand, this is a good weekend to step out and do something a little different from what you are accustomed. Just be prepared to find that things don’t turn out as you originally plan. Things will resume to a much more reliable and dignified pace by week’s end.
Pisces
Your ruler, Jupiter, will station retrograde this week. If you find that your financial or material goals are not forthcoming over the next several weeks, it may just be that not all the pieces are in place to fulfill these right now. When Jupiter stations, it is really a time to look within and search for greater spiritual meaning in your life. It can also raise ethical and moral issues of right and wrong, and specifically where you stand in relation to them. This week, if you find that your ideals are finding difficulty being fulfilled the way that you had hoped, perhaps all that is required is looking for a more realistic approach. As Saturn is now approaching its trine to your co-ruler Neptune, there is actually a greater chance of fulfilling your dreams... by focusing on what you can do, rather than what you can’t.
